Need some reinforcements?   This is my current exhibition I have in my flat. No more place for bottles!

If the weather allows it, I will be at the "Fan Mile" in Berlin, behind the Brandenburg Gate. Right now it is cloudy and stormy, I keep hating the weather these last two months.

Haha, nah that's more than enough beer for me.

You can also buy Argentine wine here, so that's what their supporters are bringing to the party ;)

Never tried Argentine wine.  How is it compared to other wines from the southern hemisphere?  The wines of South Africa are certainly respectable.

That being said, I have had some AWFUL South African wine. Marlborough Sav Blanc from NZ is a good choice though. Shiraz (or as you call it Syrah) is very popular with many wineries in my area growing it, but I think it's overrated.

Anyway back to football. I've been putting money on the matches here and there with overall good results. Netted a cool $22 from the Netherlands - Brazil match :3

This should be a straightforward German victory.

Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

With regards, Miles Saunders-Priem aka. Ln X aka. The British Sausage

Messi is the player who I think is the best, but I'll support Germany today, they are playing well, but it's going to be a really hard final.

Every time I watch a game, nothing happens and every time I don't watch, something does.

I'm trying to give this a fair shot but so far it isn't working out too well.

We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. GERMANY ARE NOW THE CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD!

Germany's first World Cup win since reunification.

    Germany 1 - 0 Argentina

Mario Götze (112') with an excellent finish. So much tension in the last 10 minutes. What a finish!

Germany lost the World Cup against Brazil in 2002. Now, Germany came to Brazil to take the championship back.

    Congratulations Germany!

You have perfectly summed up why I don't watch soccer.  That and I find the "GOAL!" thing annoying.

I was disappointed that Messi won the Golden Ball and you could tell he wasn't happy about it either.

They should have given it to James Rodriguez.

I was surprised Messi got the Golden Ball. I felt James Rodriguez (Columbia) or Toni Kroos, Thomas Müller, etc. (Deutschland) deserved the award.

Really well deserved! As people say before, Argentina has Messi, but Germany has a team. Messi didn't deserved the Golden ball indeed, in my opinion Robben, from Netherlands, was the best.

    Anyway, wonderful World Cup!

    Some curiosities about it:

The team who wins its third World Cup takes 24 years to get the fourth! Brazil won the third in 1970 and only won again in 1994. Italy won in 1982 and in 2006. And now Germany won in 1990 and 2014.

This World Cup had 171 goals, the same number of the French World Cup in 1998. Both are record holders in the number of goals.

Germany deserved the title. The staff did a good job in 2006 and 2010 and finally won the title. Very well deserved!

    Congratulations Germany!

Well played Germany, very deserving champions!

It was never going to be goals galore, although Argentina sure did have some key chances. Their big problem was not managing a single shot on target. A great tournament on the whole, with the best team eventually coming out on top.

Even Messi appeared quite embarrassed to win the Golden Ball. There were many special performances throughout, and a "player of the tournament" will always divide opinion.
