What City Should You Live In?

I've lived in several "cities" in my time, but the one I liked the most was Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario.  Toronto used to be good, but now it is like New York City (ugh!).

Cape Town.

Ugh I don't want to live in South Africa. It just doesn't get any of the benefits of the West, nor the mystery of other African countries, nor does it have any of the things I like to do. I'll stick with Europe (and later Seattle) for now.

The city lay red...
Flaming and broken...

Then he exited to region, reloaded, and it was fine.

I got Paris...must have been the wine and coffee answers, for it surely couldn't have been my hopelessly ignorant responses regarding current pop music fads. I'll take Paris, though Parisians may laugh at my even more hopeless French.

Est ce qu'on parle Français comme un Basque Espaniol?

Err, my French would be more in the line of "¿Polyview Francis?"

Interestingly, I knew a co-worker who immigrated to Texas from Morocco, and who spoke Moroccan Arabic, sufficient English, and French.  The Moroccan-schooled French became quite useful for him, for it allowed him to maintain conversations with other co-workers who primarily spoke South Texas's form of Mexican-influenced Spanish.  Certainly they were imperfect conversations, but it was cool to listen among them and hear that there were enough Romancsimilarities in grammar and vocabulary to maintain two-way communication, even if I had no idea what any of them were saying.

It put me in Cape Town and I have no idea why.

Of course, I have little concept of what life in South Africa is like, since I've never been anywhere near there nor talked to anyone from there...

I did this the other day and I didn't know what to put for two or three of the questions.  I also don't understand how many of those questions would determine what city is appropriate for you... But hey it's Buzzfeed.  Pointless stuff just for fun :P   I got Cape Town.  Hmm.  Got a mate in Melbourne who's from over there.  Wouldn't want to live there though... I'm happy where I am  :)

On a side note though, I wonder though how many possible outcomes there are.  Seems it is limited to just a few cities.

As I was taking this I was thinking to myself, "These are some of the stupidest questions I've ever seen in a quiz like this."  And the music choices?  That's it?  No rock except for 20 year old GnR?  Yeah, I'd listen to that in my IROC Z-28 with the t-tops off :whatevs: .  That being said, I got Tokyo.  My wife got LA.  I'm not all that trendy, nor am I an early adopter.  I call shenanigans.

Well, this is not a test that's going to make you work for NASA. It's just for laughs and related with something that more or less all ST people have an interest on.

Paris.  I would love to go (probably won't), but some of the questions I found completely irrelevant.

I got Portland.  It must be because of good old coffee.

OK, so I ran the test and I got Portland.  Funny, some of my in-laws live there but I've never been.  Closest I've been is Seattle.

I had no idea what to put for most of these questions. I don't drink coffee 'by the pot' and I add milk whitener often... I think I'll have to build a new city methinks.

It is a fun test, where I had no good answer I took the last one.

I am quite content living near to the Puget Sound, thank you very much.

    --Ocram

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

    Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

"Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-3

Ocram, we'll see how you do when the Cascadia fault lets go.  The last time the tsunami wiped out a village in Japan and drowned the coastal forests along the Oregon coast.

I am much happier to live inland away from most nonsense at the foot of the Laurentians.

I don't get tsunamis or hurricanes where I'm at, since I'm nowhere near a coastline, but I do have to deal with scorching summer heat and tornadoes.

I got Paris, which is strange. I'd prefer Stockholm, Munich or Quebec.
