Hello.

I have a problem with my terrain mod. Because every time go to god mode and plant trees, there is coming a lot of other things as trees ( see the picture below) this happens when i get to a to high altitude, or a slope. I am using the sudden valley terrain.

What tree mod are you using? Have you installed all the required dependencies?

Yes i have moved the Sudden Valley textures in to the Plugins folder.

And it says in the readme that it is the only dependeri

Contact the creator of the tree mod and ask him if this is part if the tree mod. It might be when because trees in the game change as you get to higher elevations..

Well, despite its whopping file size, the screenshot is rather tiny. Please use JPEGs when showing pictures online - they have a smaller file size, so you could have posted a full-screen zoom 5 image with a third of the file size.

Anyway, as far as I can see it on ths picture (gotta squint a lot), there are actually buildings instead of trees! That cannot be right. The most probable explanation I can think of spontaneously is that you have run into an ID conflict. All items in game have an instance ID (IID, in short) that should be unique. If two or more items have the same IID assigned to them, the one that loads last will override all the others.

In your particular case, you may have a prop pack installed that contains props whose IIDs collide with the ones used for particular trees in the tree mod you're using. This results in the building models overriding the tree models that should actually show up.

First thing I'd do in your place is to test the tree & terrain mod (and NOTHING ELSE in your plugins!) in a separate sandbox city and see if the problem persists.

The second thing would be a better screenshot and exact information (download link to tree controller) to help us all identify the affected packages. The author(s) should be contacted and advised of this conflict so they can either solve the problem or at least point out the incompatibility in the download description.

Not 'terrain mod', tree mod.  What tree mod are you using?

This is a known conflict between tree controllers and improperly modded MMP files.  This particular conflict is with the PEG-MTP_MM5-ForestStuff_MOD_100.dat which is packaged in with the popular PEG Terrain Kit.  A fix is in the works, but if you can't wait I could walk you through the steps, as long as you are somewhat familiar with the iLives Reader program.

Basically, you need to remove the 'kSC4FloraPreferencesProperty' and 'kSC4FloraFamilyProperty' from every exemplar in the PEG-MTP_MM5-ForestStuff_MOD_100.dat.

Be sure to go to 'subfiles' and click "reindex" and "rebuild directory file" before saving.

This is a problem with a mod not the game.  It rightfully belongs in the STEX discussion.
