I just discovered that I can sleep better when listening to D&B before going to bed.

D&B = Drum and Bass, I'd guess

I fell into the camp of "changes avatar at least twice a week" for a long time at ST... then when I was on less that obviously stopped happening. I still change avatars on a fairly often basis though, wherever I'm active.

I don't know what to put here anymore.

I've been using this avatar since about when Iron Man 3 came out. So like two years. I haven't bothered changing it simply out of not knowing what to replace it with.

I changed my avatar at least a couple times a month back in 2003-04, but in those days I had lower standards and recurring themes that fit my hobbies at the time.

This is probably my fourth avatar in nearly 10 years. Still the same name, though. I once thought about changing it, because this is the only website where I use 'timmie' + it sounds as if I'm 12 years old :P

I'm too new to change

I'd change my avatar but it will just be more hockey I think

I thought about this, and am still thinking about it because though I've thought about this, I still have more thinking to do as to stop thinking about it would mean not to think.

Enrollment day, oh how the summer days passed by like golden sands of an hour glass, slowly dripping away uncaring for its environment.

On a serious note, I'm a third year student now with 7-8 school engagements (volunteer, officer, facilitator), ah two more years and off I go to the real world. :thumb:

I don't get what the deal is with window tinting. Is supposed to look cool to have dark windows or something? To me it just seems like giving cops an excuse to pull you over. In New York at least they are quite aggressive at ticketing anyone whose windows are excessively tinted.

From what I understand from my friend, it pretty much is an aesthetic thing - he doesn't like the view of the interior from outside and prefers to have a more "solid" look.

There is more to the window tints than looks.  In Florida it is legal for all windows to be tinted, up here in the NY/NJ area Windshield, Drivers Window and Passenger Window can not be Tinted. A quality window tint will truly limit the amount of sunlight that makes it into the car. A car's internal temp can increase beyond the exterior temp so in places like Florida the inside of your car can be a furnace. No one down there wants that so it's legal, the cops up here flipped out that they could not see what was happening in the car as they approached it, so no more tints.

I wouldn't use them up here even if they were legal, the cops shoot first ask questions later, so no thanks.

I thought about this, and am still thinking about it because though I've thought about this, I still have more thinking to do as to stop thinking about it would mean not to think.

Fair point on the greenhouse aspect. In that sense it also helps your fuel economy while driving since you won't have to run the AC as hard to keep the car cool.

Of course then in winter your car will be that much colder when you get in it, so... there's a tradeoff if you live somewhere where it isn't warm year round.

It's also nice to keep the sun from beating through the window on my small children, too.  You can feel the difference, I was impressed.  I didn't get them tinted all the way black, though, I don't need trouble with the fuzz.

In a place with a climate with hot summers and cold winters, tinted windows would be a part time convenience.

Both cars I've owned had the rear windows tinted. It's just the way they came I never thought much of it. I'm pretty sure it's illegal here to have the windshield tinted, but everything else is okay.

Also the Blackhawks won and are going to the Stanley Cup finals! ...I'm excited you all can do what you want.

Yes, this is kitty.

I'm happy the NY Rangers are out!

Chicago Blackhawks vs. Tampa Bay Lightning for The Stanley Cup, I'm calling Chicago wins it in 6 games.

I spent a decent amount of time applying tint to windows in the past. I haven't tinted the windows on my last 3 or 4 cars though.

Anaheim steamrolled through the first 2 rounds. I think they won the first 4-0 and the second 4-1. I'm pretty sure they were even up 2-1 on Chicago at one point so that loss was surprising. Chicago is a good team though.

I'm not a hockey fan at all. The presence of the Rangers in the playoffs was only relevant to my life the point that I have a few friends who are fans, and also a couple friends who are haters.

@Duke87  o.O:angry: ...joke    I bet your hater friends are Devils and Islanders fans

@Wahrheit  Yes Yes it is :thumb::rofl:

If anyone wants a logical explanation on why there is fighting in hockey and why it should stay pm me, I'm not trying to turn this into a hockey thread.

I'm taking Muck308 as picking Chicago, anyone else care to guess?

feel free to change topics, I mean look at my name I could do this all day

Does Yzerman still work down in Tampa?  If so, I'll halfheartedly root for the Lightning.

Really though, as a Red Wings fan, I've got nothing to complain about.  Since 1997 we've got what, 3?  4 Stanley Cups?  I'm not complaining. Devils have won some, too, if I recall correctly.

I don't think the Devils have won for at least a good 10 years. I could check that but, like you said, hockey season is over for those of us that root for other teams, so my eyes are on baseball. I wasn't exactly saying I'm expecting Chicago to win but I wouldn't put it past them.
