I recently did the rewatch of the various Star Treks series...still not sure of my favorite or least..I think I know but I think I mix them up a bit

I thought about this, and am still thinking about it because though I've thought about this, I still have more thinking to do as to stop thinking about it would mean not to think.

"Star Trek:  Voyager" picks up much more speed once they finally ditch the Kazon mujahedeen and meet Jeri Ryan with her dominatrix implants.

We're moving on up! Nothing can stop us!

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

Something I did for the first time ever today: rented a tux. The guy at the store had to show me how to put the bow tie on, I was attempting to do it wrong and thought it didn't fit. :P

Formal wear in Hawaii was the Aloha shirt, and I kept the nicest ones with the darkest blues, lushest rainforest greens, and deepest reds for school photos and weddings.  White tabi with my flip-flop rubber slippers meant we were going to greet the visiting Emperor.

If I can get out of wearing a suit, I will.  When I was a teacher in Japan we were required to suit up, with a tie for the opening and closing ceremonies of each semester.  I quickly figured out that I was kind of separate from the Japanese staff and after the first couple semesters I never wore a tie again, although I wore the jacket during their "winter" months.  Now, I could go to work wearing pajamas and no one would care.  Everyone I know who could have possibly invited me to their wedding is long since married or unmarriageable, and my kids are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too small to have to worry about that, so no suits for me for the foreseeable future, praise all the gods in all the heavens.

There seems to be a common lifecycle pattern with free hosting sites. They become popular. As a result of their popularity they become unable to cover their expenses on ad revenue alone. So they create a concept of premium membership and start trying to nudge customers into it. Most people don't bite, so they start trying to force people into it if they want to continue using the site. Then, most people abandon the service en masse in favor of some other new site that's popped up and is earlier in its lifecycle. The previous site then fades quickly into irrelevance, possibly outright going under.

It's an endless cycle because no one is willing to pay for the service, but it's difficult to impossible to actually make money without people paying for the service.

Quiet in these parts nowadays, isn't it?

The last time I pulled out my suit I saw that moths had gotten to the pants. I've been getting by on sport coats since.

I just drove 9200 miles through 25 states and thought I'd check in on ST. I don't think I've been by in almost a year, so hello old friends!

Welcome back.  That sounds like an epic rode trip, I'm kind of jealous.  Long distance driving is great.

The only good thing about my job is that I can basically work in my pajamas.  If I ever move back to Japan and teach again I suppose I'll have to start squeezing myself back into suits.

It's almost past my bedtime.  Good night.

I think taking a road trip around the U.S would be a great time.  There's so much to see spread throughout so much land.  I'd love to see the National Parks.  The only one I've been to is Shenandoah.  Now that I've checked off my top domestic destination (Chicago), I don't really have a "that one place" in this country that I'd love to go to.

I've done those types of long road trips on multiple occasions. Loads of fun, highly recommend.

Greetings from Myrtle Beach, SC. I actually didn't drive here from NY! But that's because I'm here for work, not pleasure.

WHAT an ending to game one of the ALCS, Yankees down to final strike of being shutout twice in a postseason since 1957 then Byrd hit a bomb off the right field foul pole making the game 2-1, After striking out 13 times, the Yankees became the first team to strike out at least 10 times in 6 straight games in history.

Go Astros been rooting for them since mid season, I've already looking at booking tickets to Houston.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Astros win the World Series.  After all, they've never done it.  I don't really have a problem with the Dodgers.  I doubt the Cubs really have a chance, but I might like that.  Honestly, with my Phils sucking as hard as they do, my mind is turned to football and hockey.  The Eagles are doing excellently.

In other words, pretty boring.  You've got to get more excitement and adventure, Larks!  ^_^

Hey, Spidey, the Astros won!  Sure, they're not my "original" team, but they are after all in my home state, so it's cool.

No...It's not excitement  I caused lots of damage and have to deal with lawyers wanting a settlement between that and paying for freedom it comes close to 20k, I don't even have a full figure yet,  even worse i've managed to trash my relationship with my best friend and everyone thinks i'm a screw up, I'd be much better off at the bottom of that river right now.

Nothing like some good ole SimCity 4 to take your mind off your troubles. I certainly boot up if I need a distraction for a while.
