This is without a doubt the single worst possibly outcome for a World Series.  I refuse to root for the indians because i HATE HATE HATE HATE them and everything about their crummy city, but then there are the Cubs and I really wish I would never live to see that loser team win one.  Still, better than the indians because i HATE those guys.

A little off topic , well a lot . I had received some good news today . My grandson is about to sign a contract on a record deal . And my oldest boy told me to find a newer vehicle because they want get me a one . Might be driving a newer Chevy Suburban , hopefully in the not so distant future . They also want to plan a trip to Canada . Heck yeah , I'm all for it .

Why the animosity bro? They have waited so long, You are sounding like me in 2008 and my hatred for the Phillies.

I am curious though, Which is worse, walking the streets of Chicago in an Indians hat or walking the streets of Cleveland in a Cubs hat, This does not take into account the rough areas of South Chicago and East Cleveland where you get shot for even being a local.

Dear Everyone,

If the Cubs win, and you don't hear from me for awhile, assume I died in the celebration/riots.

If the Cubs lose, and you don't hear from me for awhile, assume I died in the riots.

Sincerely,

Chptrk

There is literally not a long enough time for the indians to wait for a championship.  I love the Tigers, and living in Cleveland, the Worst City On The Face Of The Planet (excepting those in war zones and 3rd world countries) was one of the absolute worst years of my life.  Thank the GODS I'm back in Michigan where I belong.  Lake Erie should open up and just swallow the whole damned place and flush it out into the Atlantic, freeing the earth of them forever and ever.  So yeah, go Cubs or whatevs.  ANYONE but the indians.  Even the Twins, and I hate those guys, too.

Did you ever pre order DNF? That was the con of the generation, Bet so many never picked up their preorders.

I did, but not until a few weeks before it actually came out.

As for baseball, I am rooting for the Indians only because the Cubs winning the world series... yeah that just ain't right. That's not supposed to happen.

I cannot in good conscience condone rooting for the indians.  I find it distasteful to pull for the Cubs, but at this point it all looks to be for naught.  The Cubs can't seem to defeat the weight of history, the bastards.

So you're dressed as an as  ole?     I would say to you if I knew you in person as a joke.     I did not get a chance to dress but since I have some wrappings on a wound on my leg I guess I am dressed as a mummy.

I thought about this, and am still thinking about it because though I've thought about this, I still have more thinking to do as to stop thinking about it would mean not to think.

While election coverage droned in the background, I was looking for images of a great building I had earlier spotted:  Johannes Möhrle's Postamt Wetzlar.  As I wracked my sleepy brain for basic German search terms such as "Bild," "Büro," und "Gebäude," I realized I was actually hearing voices speaking German in the bedroom.  "Oh no, CNN's Wolf Blitzer on the TV is somehow speaking in German!...I need to go to sleep now!"  Nope, I hadn't yet lost my mind--someone in the next room had just tuned their blasting television to the movie "Inglourious Basterds."

Turn that sound down, I'm going to sleep!

@Odainsaker  That wasn't their television , you're just hearing voices . Don't pay them any mind , especially if they say to loosen the nuts and bolts in Grand's wheelchair .

All this Election stuff is becoming a bit obnoxious , I mean really . They can't find better things to do with their money than to pay to call everybody in the US to push for voting for them . And all those commercials , give me a break . I figure Ol'e Hillary has got this one in the bag . It seems the media has already made up their minds that she has already won . I don't mean to sound biased , but I couldn't vote for either one of those jokers . I'd like to see both of them work at McDonalds and live off of those kind of wages . And then weenie whine about how poor people have it too easy these days .

Back from Chicago/Cleveland, What a week, Witnessed history and partied with the Cubs fans, Came back drenched in champagne, Now it's time to make history again when we lock her up.

They had a Hillary for prison sign at Wrigley Field and we all started shouting lock her up, Baseball and politics, does it get any more American?

I'm happy-ish for the Cubs.  It was a long time coming.

I've stepped into four of the five great lakes, and I've swum in 3 of them, Lake Superior included.  Saturday, however, we were wandering along the lakeshore at a park and there was a rocky outcropping.  I got our two kids across the rocks between waves, but I stepped a bit too far over and slipped on the algae and just couldn't get any traction.  My wife laughed behind me and after I got out (completely soaked except for my right pocket where my cell phone was) she stepped over to get our youngest across... and promptly slipped into the lake herself.  I've never felt so relieved in my life, and we laughed our asses off, it was hilarious.  The weather was ridiculous for November in Upper Michigan, 65F and sunny and the water really didn't feel that bad, although sopping wet jeans all the way back to the car sucked.

Sounds like a great time out with the family NMUSpidey, minus the wet jeans

The furthest west body of water I've been in was the Delaware River, several times. Once went rafting in late February everything was snow covered and the water was running fast and wild, we had to use full body wet suits like scuba divers use since it was 30degrees F. Though our raft tipped over hard at one point 3 of the 5 of us on the raft fell in, I was one of the two that did not fall in.  Later on when we pulled ashore for lunch I intentionally went into the water for a swim to see what it was like, with the suit on it was still cold but it was a great fresh cold, would do it again.

I thought about this, and am still thinking about it because though I've thought about this, I still have more thinking to do as to stop thinking about it would mean not to think.

Yeah, it was a much different feeling working as a teacher in Japan.  I had a lot more freedom to do things as I wished, not to mention the fabulous time off the job came front-loaded with.  I was doing what I wanted.  Now I'm just working for money and I dislike it verily.
