Happy (belated) birthday to Duke, Cyclone, timmie, and Yoshi! I guess the month December is the 'Simtropolis Moderator Birthday Belt'. :P

Amongst the general population of the US, August through December has a noticeably higher birth rate than the rest of the year. People like to conceive babies during the winter.

March 8.  I don't know who else has that birthday, because it's already been officially established that I don't like being with people.

How can you not like being with people? Makes no sense I'm miserable when I'm not with friends.

I like a little from column A and a little from column B myself.

People who are extroverted (which is maybe 2/3rds of all people) thrive on social interaction and find themselves bored out of their mind when they're alone.

But those of us who are introverted are the opposite: we need our time to ourselves and there's only so much being around others we can tolerate, especially when it's a lot of others at once. When I do things with other people, I usually like it to be with just one or two other people. Large groups seem cumbersome and overwhelming to me, I can't mentally handle dealing with a lot of people at once.

I'm a bit introverted too. I'm not too comfortable with large groups of people, and meeting new people (when you're new at university, for example, or when you see a guy you might like) is one hell of a task. I prefer contact with people I know and small groups (1-2 persons). I do like social interaction, however, just not with people I don't know.

I can dominate my classes, but man, I get home and I just wanna sleep.  I did rock it at our end-of-the-year party a week and a half ago.  I can rock a karaoke bar.  But then I was basically immobile the entire next day.  I can do it, it's often fun, but it takes it outta me.  I much prefer just hanging out at home with my wife and kids.

I'm most definitely introverted. Heck, even spending a couple of hours with my immediate family drains me.

And a Happy New Year from Australia!

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

I can talk with my family, but I never talk at all at school.

I think it's just my nature to be quiet, even though most people are loudly going around with this big group of people. I don't mind. Some people do ask me why I'm so quiet, and I never know what to say. I sometimes feel like there is some other person in my life, though I don't know who this is, I just feel like this person who I know nothing about is always there.

I'll be at home watching the ball at Times Square drop on TV. Not much, but nice and fun to celebrate.

I used to work a job in Saitama where we had to work during the town's summer festival until 9pm, but from my particular classroom you could *just* see the fireworks being set off starting at 730 or 8.  I hated that job.

The first day of 2014 was incredibly windy, but with warm(ish) temperatures and cloudless skies.  We spent most of it asleep while our kids ran around like hooligans.

Just had traditional English Christmas dinner (yes, I know, but we do it now for practical reasons). Turkey, gravy, stuffing, cranberries, sprouts, baked potatoes, meat loaf. One of the most tasty days of the year :3 I am also wearing a crown.

I still just watched the ball drop in Times Square, even though the show was done by questionable celebrities, we can always watch questionable ads as an alternative.  All that aside, there was nice festivity, and I walked outside and saw a bunch of stars up in the sky.  Very nice.

Watching the ball drop if you are in Eastern time (GMT-5) is the obvious thing to do. I don't know what people in other time zones do although I suppose if you're to the west you could watch it recorded.

The show surrounding it is dumb, though. We turned the TV on at 11:45 and turned it off at 12:10. That's about all you need. :P

They need better performers, never knew any of them, they also need to stop with the garbage pop and rock and get some real rappers on stage to show everyone what really is up.

The problem is that for whatever reason people seem to enjoy watching half naked rappers swear like sailors. There's nothing family friendly about that.

2520: There are family friendly rappers out there. One of the milder choices, (okay, some of his songs do swear but this could be rewritten for live performances) would be Macklemore. Considering his influence over the last two years, he should be on there.
