My concert-going days are all long behind behind me.  The most awesome show I ever saw?  Well, after Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, I'd have to go with AC/DC.  They were amazing, even at their advanced age back in '99.  Stone Temple Pilots and the Toadies were both very good as well.  I wish that I could have seen Tokyo Jihen when they were still together.  The DVDs I have are good, anyways.

Never been to a concert. Probably never will, since tickets are so damn expensive and I can only name 2 theaters in Philadelphia. Walnut street theater and the Preforming Arts Center.

Tickets aren't necessarily expensive. For example, The Cat Empire only costs 22 euro, Miles Kane goes for 24. I saw Randy Newman, Beirut and Foster the People for a comparable price at the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels. All international artists that are known by a fair amount of people. However, concerts in stadiums and indoor sports arenas and what have you usually cost a lot more. Luckily, I don't like concerts of that scale.

I have to get cheap everything because nothing valuable lasts in a house with two toddlers.  Our cheap, flat-screen TV has red marker all over it.  My headphones reside in my chocolates box on top of the fridge, but it's only a matter of time...

What about the Troc or the Electric Factory? Good venues. Although I've never actually been to the Troc. I saw Trey Anastasio at the Electric Factory as well as the Deftones who, I might add, are not coming through Pittsburgh during their upcoming tour. Looks like I'm headed to Cincinnati in October instead!

 

Spidey, I am now picturing the opening scene of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. I can only imagine what fatherhood is like.
