i will throw a  test mod out tomorrow or the weekend(or keep pestering me if no one else has by the time i get free time to do it) for this if i get time. should be an easy change but might not be compatible with any other road mods (most likely) until i get around to finishing an app i started to make mod changes direct to a shared mod package file.

 

however... if you load simcitypak and the script package file(s), the property id that holds the road cost values for each road type is 0e76a7e2(i think without testing to be 100% sure)

 

so if you search for the property id- 0e76a7e2 and change all relevant instance property values to whatever you want you can have $1 or free or $11111 or... whatever value costs for the roads. simcitypak does not currently have default human readable string names for all the road types as we don't know the official names (yet).

 

 

either guestimate which road is which from the build cost(or simply change them all to 1) in the files or maybe procs or someone else can tell you which instance id is which road type.

No budget crisis for 6.0 please! also a Radiation fast cleaner park or something like that would be awesome....

i never loaded the no budget crisis mod so have no idea if making a version for 6 is easy or possible. will look tomorrow unless someone else throws it your way today.

 

radiation park as you mention is not currently possible :( i have a no disaster mod and / or exe linked in a thread here -on page 1 still -that might(big might as i've not loaded the game to see if it even works at all yet for any disaster:( )prevent nuclear meltdowns

You won't be able to modify the prices of the roads (The last time I did they caused rollbacks) but you can use some of the other roads I have been using for my road pack to create your own versions of the normal roads which cost nothing due to these roads having no base cost


Below is a copy and paste of what available roads I have found and what I am using them for currently.

 

0x0eaf693c - MAIN parent for two lane tram & train road (contains bridge upgrade pointer, link to below submain parent)
0xb9642190 - NOW USED AS NEW SUBMAIN PARENT FOR TWO LANE TRAIN ROAD
0x7783ec34 - NOW USED AS PTH/UNK/SCRIPTS PARENT FOR BRIDGE FOR TWO LANE TRAIN ROAD

I'd assume you are using the cracked version in which case it might not rollback, but I was actually wrong in what I said in terms of rollbacks. Even though clientside its built for free, if you save and reload it subtracts the total costs for whatever the road may have been and once you have 0 money and it attempts to do it again you'll rollback. I guess this would work still in the cracked version as it probably just checks your own scripts again when wanting to check whatever would normally be on the serverside

the mod $$ works i try it already for the crack and no $$$ loss and thx to u i just figured out how to add more regions maps to DB i hope ^^ gona test now

Oh nice then the crack should allow for a lot of more flexiblity. Quite easy to add all the dlc items and such, create your own plops etc. Should be very fun!

cool. spent the day in the sun so not played with any mods (well for 2-3 weeks now but hey), not looked at any offline cracks as didn't realize one was in the wild yet!

I don't know how far the game is moddable till now? But I would love to see some more power plants like the Microwave Power plant. Man I would throw money at the screen for the microwave power plant

I don't know if it's possible - but I would love a mod were you could charge your "sims" to go to University, use public transportation, health care even - I hate having to pay for everything and only making money from taxes and exports...... unless there is something that already does this!!!

I would see a lunar map, with lunar buildings, airship like columbia and train like lunar wagon etc... could be fun to do and play ^^

I WANT, 1. I dont want a Money cheat i just essentially want an easier way to earn Money (increase income of all stuff that gives you Money for example but it has to exclude leaderboards though) i also want, as  2. i want Real pop cap and not just visual, but real so it also Means something for the stats and such.

Oh yeah, i forgot i want an actual realism mod, decreasing crime, fires, sickness and such, like its insane that you do need a fire station, really unrealistic, and increase prices and income but decrease outcome.

Don't really want to turn off all of the sound effects....  just lower the sirens.  OR - better yet - somehow stop my city with 20000 from needing 10 police cars, 5 firetrucks and 5 ambulances to CONSTANTLY be responding to emergencies 24 hours a day.  What is this? Sin City?

 

You don't need that many emergency vehicles - I have a residential city of 60000 with 4 police cars 4 firetrucks and 4 ambulances that works seamlessly. Instead of adding more vehicles, add more facilities to the Police, Fire, Clinic like extra jail cells, prevention and detectiove wings, fire bells and fire marshal offices and patient rooms and waiting rooms to your emergency services. Another helpful tip is to get a flawless mass transit system so your roads stay clear for emergencies.

Ehy guys, can you make a mod that allows the emergency vehicles (like ambulances, firetrucks and police cars) to cross the intersections with red light? Now it's not realistic because they stop at red light.

This might be still early but i would really love to have custom buildings like bats in simcity 4.

I have been waiting and watching for this to happen.

Could someone give me some info about it or how recently custom buildings will be available.  :???:

I know this has probably already been suggested, but we need one way roads. Especially with the new patch so we can make proper on and off ramps.

One way roads would be nice. I guess making it possible to buy more land for zoning, or removing zoning restrictions beyond the boundary wouldn’t be possible, right?

Or would it just take a lot of time doing it?

Can someone please make one way roads and parks that actually look like parks as opposed to those retarded looking things EA calls parks and plazas. The game is already retarded as it is, they can at least give up something that looks good.

I know this is hard and it has obviously not been included by maxis which suggests that it might not be possible

will happen to the one-way streets, it will be possible to create it or just wait for maxis. to modify the tools must land your way, this game has a long, by modifying pond in, by the size of the adjacent lot. do not think it can be do much.

Hey, my first post and already a request... What you modders did with sc4 is just amazing and I have the feeling (and hope), that this will be sooner or later the same in sc5.
 Thank you a lot!

My request is adding to the whole one-way discussion and the need of on of ramps since there are raised streets and underpasses: Is it possible to create a street, that makes crossings with an avenue, where the crossing of the center line is impossible? Would be a crossing where leftturn is prohibited. I guess this would be only necessary for low-density streets. It would be something close to on off ramps and the traffic could be regulated better... Thanks for your answer.

The coolest Mod ever: The Blackout Mod. Yes, i wish that you could do a Blackout Mod,

where the Buildings are instantly without Power, when:

  1. When you shut down a Power Station
  2. or when a Power Station gets Destroyed

It would be REALLY nice if you could do this!

This might be hard to do, dont even know if its possiable, but I wish cars would move out the way for emergancy vehicals or the emergency vehicals just go around them, which would be a bit more realistic and would stop them from getting stuck in traffic while my city gets burned to the ground.
