Testing out my new camera (a Canon PowerShot SX280HS) on friday last week. I really like the zoom capabilities of this new camera:

 

 

 

 

 

I'm planning to use this camera for my study trip next month to the USA and Panama

Testing out my new camera (a Canon PowerShot SX280HS) on friday last week.

Funny, I have the exact same camera!   I totally agree, the 20x zoom capabilities are wonderful, and I also love the exposure options. Here's a 14-picture sample of my pictures (I mostly do architecture and close-up shots):

Accidentally messed up the exposure on this one, but I kinda like the way it turned out.

 

 

 

 

 

And finally, I tested the zooming abilities of the camera to the maximum with this picture from the far end of a Billy Joel concert:

 

 

I quite liked the result.

 

Well, that's all from me. I've got a lot more where that came from, although unfortunately most of my other artsy pictures were taken on an iPod I used before I got my new camera, so the quality isn't very good. I might post a few of the best ones though.

I've enjoyed 'casual photography' for years and I've also been a nightmare when it comes to always having my phone out snapping away. I got my first 'proper' camera for Christmas and have been loving it. I'm still a relative newbie and I'm learning all the time but it's a very enjoyable hobby.
