Been ages since I took any pics, but here are some of my favourite shots.

 

I retouch most my pics in photoshop for better colors etc, since I don't own an SLR.. you decide if it's cheating or not.

Went to Roanoke for a few days around the second week of February.  Gorgeous city, and very photogenic I might add.  Took this panoramic shot from the overlook on Mill Mountain, where the Roanoke Star is.  Probably one of my favorite panoramic images.

The smog in LA is unbelievable. The only reason why the next picture is fuzzy, is smog. It's not my camera.

A bike trail here recently reopened.

Here in the Netherlands, 90% of all bike trails (we have a lot) is pink/red(ish).

That's with my interchangeable-lens camera. I use Hugin to stitch it together after the fact.

Yes, this is a real thing.

Taken a few weeks ago on the Rampart Ridge trail, Mt. Rainier.

Looks like a tree root exposed by a landslide.

Nope it's a trunk.  You can see the bark at both ends where it entered the soil.  The flared base on the left end indicates it's the true base of the tree.  Scattered debri beneath where the trail has been repaired hints that there was indeed soil movement here.  My guess is the trail workers who repaired the trail here also maneuvered this bent and rotten hemlock into position like this (giving the breakage on the right side).  Even up close it does look, for all the world, like a tree going back into the ground.
