I believe people that signed up for the 1st beta will automatically receive a code for beta 2, at least I read something like that.

If there are any folks that got a spare key I would like one also.

not necessarily - they've said that if you have already signed up for the beta in the past, there is no need to sign up again. this doesn't necessarily guarantee you will receive one for the 2nd beta.

 

also, the next beta is only for a whopping 24 hours, so if you do get one, redeem it asap, because you're barely even going to get to play.

I thought it was silly that they wouldn't let you preload the beta before it released. Nobody will get a full 24 hours.

Fair enough, will we be able to test the multi city play at any time, that hasn't been stress tested either..... i wonder if my PC can handle multiple cities in same region =/

no key here yet.  I did not sign up for the first one, but, I did sign up for #2.  I would like to get in.  I find it odd that this is supposed to be a 24 hour test, but, they are waiting till the day of the test to send out the keys.  are they sending them out at midnight or after noon or when really?  I have things to do tomorrow and I can't sit around my computer hitting refresh on my email all day.

I was invited to play the first beta AND because I preordered the game I got another one for tonight... I can't wait to see what's changed, if anything... I hope we are not stuck with the same map as the first round

I wonder if I'll be able to give the beta a whirl this time? I got a key for beta 1 but a bug with the software prevented me from launching it. Didn't even get as far as the start screen with server status! Maxis know about my troubles but I don't think there's been enough time to fix it. We will see, perhaps?
