Regardless of the fact that Cities in Motion is not a city simulator, it is redundantly compared to Simcity nonetheless.

Unlike simcity; Cities in Motion 2 adopts the role of a transport manager - and not a mayor.

The team only consists of a few developers, although, all of which are dedicated, honest and actually listen to their fans (from what I've experienced)

Cities in Motion 2 is the sequel to the popular mass transit simulation game Cities in Motion. The Modern Days introduces new features, like multiplayer game modes, day and night cycle, timetables and dynamic cities. The player's actions in building the transportation network will affect how the city grows, with affordable transportation spawning middle class housing and work places, and more expensive and delicate choices bringing in demanding business people. Player has many different types of vehicles to choose from and now can also build roads with bus lanes. Tackling the rush hour by managing transportation timetables and meeting the needs of the citizens are one of the key elements of building a successful and efficient network!

Planning your lines is essential for a sustainable income: For every vehicle in the game there is a burdened maintenance cost to accomplice it; that is why the very attributes of each vehicle foreshadows its unique excellence. Say, one tram may be very attractive, however, its condition is often dictated by a terrible motor, and thus, it is destined for persistent maintenance and, costly repairs.

You can build roads and establish certain buildings to make an addition to your lines.

Cities are dynamic; therefore, they are constantly growing at an inexhaustible pace - until they reach the boarder of course! The influx of citizens and towering apartment blocks take a toll on your services and dictate the capability of your lines.

But watch out! You don't want to keep your customers waiting... if passengers are kept waiting for too long they may abandon their daily routine and search for a more reliable transport: The result of this; the very integrity of your services will soon begin to dimmer, and your infamous increased along with more CiMs converting to private motoring.

Cities in Motion 2 also includes multiplayer; competitive and cooperative.

Also, the maps are enormous!

Cities in Motion 2 is released around the same date as Simcity; sometime this year.
