Elevated RHW and NWM roads...

Saw in the NWM Support Thread thread:

"All NWM networks are able to intersect MIS Ramps and RHW-2s, and be able to go underneath Elevated RHWs. Transitions between NWM and RHW networks are not possible at this time, however, and are planned for future updates."

But I built an elevated RHW-6 and tried running some NWM underneath it, like the TLA-7 in the screenshot, and I can't stop them from colliding, whether I do the RHW first, or the NWM. Is there a trick to this? I'd post in that support thread, but at 156 pages I don't want to get lost :)

Ahem...

That only applies to RHW-4 and MIS, not any of the new RHW networks. There is currently no support for dragging ERHW over NWM.

Yeah, that bit of the NWM FAQ info was written before we had an ERHW-6S and 6C. The FAQs here on the ST versions of the threads (and the SC4D ones, too) aren't exactly up-to-date right now. The RHW Readme states down in Part N of the "Version Contents" section, under Elevated RHW-6S and Elevated RHW-6C that NWM underpasses are not supported.

The RHW Plugin that will be included in the 31st NAM release will support at least NWM Orthogonal x Orthogonal crossings under all elevated RHWs, including all of the new height levels and widths that will be added. NWM-over-RHW, in case you're wondering, won't be added until at least the 32nd NAM release.

I don't suppose that V31 has poked its head above the horizon yet? Happy New Year.

Thanks Tark and Gana...it does look like the ERHW-4 does go over stuff like the TLA-7....so can use that for now. Split a WRHW-6S with the offramp, I think should give me a ERHW-4...will hop in and try...

    You're most welcome, Harlequin!

I don't suppose that V31 has poked its head above the horizon yet? Happy New Year.

Well, we're actively testing the piece de resistance of NAM 31, the revamped RHW plugin. Most items are now pathed (thanks to a little batch processing trick I devised), and we're giving the RULs a shakedown and fixing up a few FLEX items. There's also an effort underway to revamp the installer. I'll probably be sneaking in a few small NWM-related items as well.

Tried it, and the ERHW-4 does go over the NWM stuff(screenshot). So can do pretty much what I was thinking of doing...and by the sounds of it more when the new NAM comes out.... *thumbs up*

Excellent! Keep up the good work and you might be in time to complicate my testing of Ubuntu 13.04 (Due date in April).
