CN Tower scale way off

According to the online guide, the CN Tower uses up 7 x 6 tiles...more than the Chrysler building, Palicio Real, Rotes Rathaus, Seoul City Hall, Taj Mahal, etc. It is almost the same size as the California Plaza!!!!!!!!

For those who haven''t been there or who don''t live in Toronto, it has a very small footprint. You could walk around the base of it (difficult because it sits in a moat) in about 30 seconds.

It could fit into the coutyard of the Seoul City Hall most likely. It is vastly smaller than any large skyscraper (Chrysler, Empire, John Hancock) and is smaller than 90% of the tall commercial buildings in downtown Toronto.

Just wondering if any of the other landmarks or rewards are off by this much? I know the buildings are not all to scale by any means, but hopefully the scale isn''t so visually jarring.

The only other major problem I have encountered like this, and it is a lot more important than this silly reward, is bus stops. The bus stops, which apparently you need on every block to make them work, are the size of a small bus station. By the time you add subway stations as well, not to mention commuter rail, you have about 20 times the amount of land used up for transit than would be expected in a high density city.

Isn''t there an underground section associated with the CN Tower? It''s been years since I''ve been to TO.

ive never been to Toronto so i would have no idea about the scale... but i have been to the Sears Tower and the St Louis Arch and the scale on those seem to be fairly accurate

The Washington Monument takes up a 3x3 footprint. Big Ben only takes up a 1x1 (!)

Are you saying that in real life the CN is shorter than other commercial buildings in Toronto or just in the scale of the game?
You are right about the scale of things in this game. the CN tower is roughly 1800 feet tall. It is taller than any skyscraper anywhere.
the base does look too fat in the game though.

1815 ft and 5 inches to be exact. Sadly some people dont think of the CN tower as a building. they just say its a stick in the sky

I remember reading in the newspaper the other day that Australia is actually working on a tower that will be used for Cellular purposes that will be 2km high.. yes thats more than double.. but it won''t be like a tower where you can take an elevator up... its gunna be held up with many cables.

I can''t find any websites as reference.. :/

I like the Small Ben in Sim City... I''ve seen it in real, this Simcity-building is just a little and cute copy

Also, the Arc de Triomphe in France is somewhat smaller than in real as well... If I remember right.

Inappropriate comment. ~zel~ the cn tower in toronto is one of the tallest structures in the world. The only other things that are taller than it is things like radio towers. i dont know how u can say that the cn tower is smaller than 90% of the buildings in the toronto cbd it sticks out Inappropriate comments. ~zel~

however i do agree with your statement saying that the bus stops and subways are too big. they are. when u c subway stations in places like new york they fit in the sidewalk. thats an inprovement i would like to see in the future.

if u search roadtop on the STEX, i believe theres a whole pack of roadtop subways and bus stops, but they take away the road access of buildings so u need to either place them on the side of the buildings or have skyscrapers that will have atleast 2 tiles of road access, so that they will still get road access from 1 tile... hope that helped, heres a link to the pack: https://www.simtropolis.com/modding/index.cfm?mode=details&show=251
