  1. Bank of America

    not bad at all
  2. Gold Coast Australia

Beautiful work. It seems you've also included the areas of Tweed Heads and Coolangatta - The gateway to the Gold Coast, plus the area which I'm living in at the moment.
  3. jacqulina, all I am doing is taking the pics straight from simcity (which is png by default), then changing the extension to jpg by renaming it. However when I upload them onto imageshack they say it's png, which is why i think IE users can't see them. What is this pic converter you are talking about, because whatever I'm doing doesn't seem to be working at all . . .
  4. Anyone here an Architect?

I am a CAD Operator and work in an engineering firm. Being an architect I can't really tell you if you need basic CAD training, I'm not in that industry. If you wanted to become an engineer, you don't need any CAD experience as they generally teach you the basics when you get a job. However, I'm just talking from the point of view of my company.
  5. It's good that the pictures are working on Firefox, however, the majority of Simtropolis users have IE. I want everyone to see the pics not just a select few. I'm frustrated because the pics are definately jpeg, but the link that I cut and copy from Imageshack has .png at the end (refer to link in previous post).
  6. G'Day all, Thanks for all the help, but I'm doing EVERYTHING right I swear. The pics appear for me as I'm writing the reply, but when I post them I can't see them! Below is the link that I copy and paste, and for some stupid reason, at the end of the link it says .png, but I have converted my pics jpg by changing the extension! Let me know what's wrong and I can re-post the pics for all the IE people. Sardonic Arbiter - You are definately an Aussie, that's good to see. I personally agree with your point about the European settlement part, but like I said, "It's rumoured". Also, I know trucks can carry that kind of load (5 - 15 trailors), but I don't think that's road legal However, you are probably right in saying that there are trucks out there that carry more than 3 trailors. Good comment! Thanks again everyone http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/192/201qa2.png
  7. I dont know what's going on? I've done exactly what the tutorial said, all pics are JPG, they are about 600x480 and when I inserted them on my reply they appeared fine. Can someone tell me what's happening, I don't want to have all talk no pictures in my CJ.
  8. The second update . . . Ipaunz' economy is booming. The arid, flat lands of the Australian Outback is proving to be able to withstand the construction of an entire new country. Tens of thousands from the Indian Ocean, primarily Mauritius and Sri Lanka have flocked to the land of new hopes and dreams. Just as many came from the Pacific Islands, specifically Hawaii and a huge population of New Zealanders. However, by far the new population of Ipaunz was inhabited by Australians. 2.02 - South of the CBD, many of the boutiques and upper class citizens call this place home. One of the main worries from the leaders of Ipaunz was how it was to succeed due to the fact that it was a landlocked country? Nevertheless, this has been a boost to its success. Because of the trade tax that was still enforced throughout the world, Australia played host to Ipaunz' imports and taxed it all. However, Australia agreed to free freight movement across her land, making it a plus-plus situation for both parties. For a few years Australia and Ipaunz continued this friendly and helpful relationship that put more money into the pockets of both countries. 2.02 - The education system rivalled the western world, and with the construction of the first university along with the student accommodation, Ipaunz was right on the heels of the world leaders of education. Nevertheless, Ipaunz still needed to make the switch from importing all foreign objects to actually manufacturing their own. So the "industrial revolution" as you might say, began south of the city in the large suburb of Codobine, which means in the Aboriginal language, Place where man removes heart from another man. 2.03 - The high-tech and manufacturing core of the city 2.04 - More of the suburbs and terraces south of the downtown district. 2.05 - The south-eastern sector of the city that is situated on the same railway as the other picture. With Ipaunz' feet firmly planted on the ground, the leaders focused on a democratic solution to the next step of development. 1. Should the leaders focus on agriculture? 2. More commerce? 3. More suburbs?
  9. tomdapom & powerdc: Thanks heaps for the help. It's people like you that are going to get this CJ off the ground! Thanks again, a new update will be here soon! homeandaway: Hey man, thanks so much for the comment, it's good to know that I'm doing well for my first CJ. Hope you enjoy the next update coming in a few days. jacqulina: Cheers mate, I will look into it. Thanks for the help! ajay_lay: Yeah, a fellow Aussie! I'm hoping I can get a few more of us to follow this CJ. You are correct, a city of that size would struggle to survive on its own in most harshest of territories in our known world. However, keep in mind the story - you have several countries that have united that are pumping everything they have into it to get the city, or new country for that matter, off the ground. Plus, you will learn in the next update that is coming soon how the relationship between Ipaunz and Australia is helping both nations physically and financially. Won't spoil it too much though! Just a little information about the Outback as I'm sure most of you Europeans and Americans etc underestimate the harsh desert of Australia. It is by far the most remotest part of any inhabitable nation today. Less than 10% of Australia's population live in the Outback, so that's less than 200 000 - in a space that's probably equivalent in land mass as the United States. The Outback generally refers to just past the bush, where the development of the urban coastal areas stop. The Outback is also known as "Beyond the Black Stump" and "Never Never". The roads are known to be well built and some of the straightest, but quite dangerous. The vast majority of Australian freight moves around in "Road Trains", generally trucks carrying more than two trailers (usually three). The Outback is so remote and mysterious it is rumoured that there are still Aboriginals out there that don't know white man has settled in Australia. For those who don't know, Europeans settled in the mid to late 1700s. Also, the Aboriginals are the native people of our beautiful nation, however, they originally came from Asia thousands of years ago I believe. If there are any more Aussies out there that want to put in their viewpoint, please go ahead, it's nice to know that there are Australians out there Stay tuned for the second update, there's a HUGE surprise for the reader . . .
  10. Union Town, Nova Scotia, Canada.

The el rail is wonderful! Doesn't look out of place at all, and the walls make it look even better!
  11. Kars Lake

good work. It's nice to see a city that isn't totally overdeveloped by skyscrapers. The suburbs give it a nice realistic feeling
  12. New York City

dude, what an incredible recreation of NYC. I love the snow terrain, it makes it so easy to see your transportation map
  13. Show us your Skyscraper Districts!

nice downtowns everyone, especially aj_law, pretty cool considering the population
  14. sim city 5 hoppfully

jake501, I don't think so. To be honest it almost looks like Surfers Paradise in Australia, minus the beaches. Plus the previous picture is definately fake. No questions
  15. Paradise Falls 2 created by jacqulina

What awesome terraforming! I could never have the patience to do such beautiful and intricate work, and I'm a CAD operator!?! Look forward to more, I will be following this until the end.
