You know, I've never actually seen anything like this in SC4. At least not on this scale. I'm very very impressed.

That's crazy big! Wow! If rain/flooding happened in Simcity4 you would be prepared that is for sure.

Here is mine, Los Angeles (Dry) River.

It's kinda sad, in real life this used to be a free flooding river all the time. but as civilization sucked it dry, it just never returned to normal, and paving large sections of it in concrete made it worse.

I'm sorry to hear that :P Born and raised in Alexandria 23 years :) That pic looks kind of like an empty Achafalaya Spillway. Just need some cypress in there and you're all set!

I did this 5-odd years ago. Its the same kind of diversion channel deal as triggs', but without all the concrete.

Its made up of Repurposed lots

This is what I used as the Wall/Gate at the Top of the structure

    October Bridge

For Gates themselves as well as the numerous sea walls I used these:

    DEDWD highway walls

In the highway walls pack there are overhanging lots that along with some ground work can blend together

Finally for the embankment i used the Marrast Embankment Set

Other than that its just a matter of playing with the ground elevation and contour until you achieve the look your going for.

Just a typical retention area for runoff. Even though its not functional I'd like to think it combats all the runoff from the nearby parking lots .
