Couple more recent things I've done recently...

This waterfront development is available at simpeg.com and probably on the STEX as well.  This is nothing fancy, it was the first time I'd used it, but it turned out well.

">STwaterfrontstroll.jpg

This is some diagonal development, which I haven't gone out of my way to acquire, ths is about the only instance of it in the city.  I like the generally European look.

Really awesome pictures guys 44.gif

Zurrabear, I really like the diagonal building and the way you arrange your city park.

Here is one of mine,

I hope everybody likes it. More of my work can also be viewed at SC4D.

Thanks Firdaus.  That's a lovely waterfall, very good landscape work there (the little look-out spot with the fence is a nice touch!)

Mitsos, that's some excellent landscaping; it really looks 'windswept'--chilly and  lonely and poetic.  The church is great--Greek Orthodox?--I'd love to get that.

Great work all!

I started a project to create a resort-city on a large city square. It will be about 85% actual resort with some narrow surrounding city.  It's all plopped and massively cheated as to money, but I'm having fun juggling realism with what typically goes on in high-end theme parks, which is the opposite of realism.  Here are a couple of things I've done with it that more or less qualify as scenic...

This is a purely decorative feature right at the front entrance, one of two on opposite sides of the resort's main entrance.  It's funny, I'd never seen this fountain used this way before and then looking at Sky Guy's picture he did something very similar!

BS16.jpg

This is a sort of adventure feature in the actual amusement park portion of the resort--a place for kids to climb and get wet and adults can oo and ah over the view from the top.

There's a CJ over at simpeg.com, called "Bosphorous Concourse," at www.simpeg.com/forum/index.php/topic,8565.0.html.

@ Zurrabear: I think there are too many waterfalls, is exaggerated.

The upper image I like but very good.

@ Nardo: I've already written in your city journal, looks great

I will also think of my ma city park city show Bielefeld. only has to look for the image.

Hi MR.X.1: yes, it's deliberately exaggerated.  It's not meant to be a natural feature, it's meant to be a constructed artifact in an amusement park--so exaggeration is partly what it's all about.

*see image for how it's placed in context.
