Lawson Hardman is on hold thanks to some rendering errors that I can't quite figure out. Will come back to it when I find a resolution.

In the meantime, I'm working on something with a little less glass.

This is the Office of Naval Intelligence. I'm going for a more "bunker" feel, with lots of solid concrete and not too much glass. It's going to be pretty spartan, except for the roof. Still not sure what to do with the roof yet.

Why not BATting a bunch of aerials and antennas for that roof; as well as the typical roof junk? Your BAT is a bit reminiscent for me to the old Navy Captainship building in Barcelona (BTW, one of the city's first skyscrapers), and it features a bunch of these antennas on top. They could look cool.

    Nice job, BTW!

Pretty much done with the daytime render. I didn't *quite* get the reflections like I wanted them, but they do match the Maxis buildings better this way.

Wow,  that's looking amazing. You really are teasing with these BATs, just hoping to see them out on the STEX sometime :P Just curious, but what computer/laptop do you have to run 3ds Max? My 7 year old HP Pavilion dv6 laptop [i guess laptop is the keyword here lol] doesn't fare well with detailed, large-scale BATs. I can only usually render props, small structures, and low poly high-rises. :P

I have a liquid cooled AMD FX 8350 Black Edition (Overclocked to 3.73GHz) with 32GB of RAM and a GTX 780ti.

I spent a couple thousand dollars building this rig. She's a killer gamer and she can render pretty well with the 32 gigs of RAM I've got in her.

Took a break from high-rises, so I made something a little more local. Please Enjoy the Illium National Bank. It's up on the STEX right [

Way to leave my fan + small desk fan cooled laptop in the dust huh? :P

Anyways, that's a great BAT, definitely worth a download ;)

Huston, if you ever need anything rendered, please feel free to send it my way. I'd be more than happy to render it for you.

Thanks for the offer, and I'll run it by you if I do. Luckily so far though, 3ds Max is treating my laptop pretty decently with these models. So -hopefully- it all works out. :P
