Can you post pics of this Diet Building and the Tokyo Central Station?

I think the Diet building is the one that adjoins the Metro. Gov't Center (which I translated and uploaded). Is this right? I thought that that building hadn't been BATted.

The ships on the top and bottom left are in a file called tanker.zip, found here.

It's the 13th entry on the page.  They both seem to be props.  Make the lot 8 tiles long and they'll show up.

This is the Diet building I'm talking about, although now that I look at it, I'm not sure if it's the city Diet or the national... Is that the same one you're talking about, Shadow of Death?

Here's the Tokyo Central Station...

That's the Diet Building that I'm talking about.. it's also called the National Diet Building.  They are the same building, pnorrell.

I live fairly close to the Diet Building so I know alot about it.. if you want more information you can check this out.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diet_of_Japan

Ardecila, this is the building you are referring to.. http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=105166

They are both part of the complex known as Tokyo Metropolitan Government Complex.

Yes - Ardecila referred to it in his post above. The model is by Meta, who is also the creator of the Tokyo central train station and who has been MIA for some time. Ardecila tweeked it and fixed some problems in the original and uploaded his version to the STEX.

Look here.

There has been some request for this station which is offline:

es.gif

The pictures are lot 545 on SimCityForce. Maybe it can be uploaded to STEX like the ships ?

EDIT: I know jeronij has downloaded it. He has used it in Simtropia.

I would love to see that BAT upon the STEX. Although we have to be careful that not all Japense BATs end upon the STEX and many start claiming them as there own. That would be catostrophic...

And keep up the good work fellows/gals and thanks for everything...

Yes, good point. The cases of National Aviation Club Member and Meta are well established - they have been missing for some time and there are even notices on the Japanese sites that their work is no longer available for download.

In this case, I can't even tell who the creator is. Perhaps we could take you up on that offer of your linguistic skills Mogwai1313? Would it be possible for you to inquire at SimCityForce whether or not anyone knows the creator of those stations and how we might get a hold of them?

Yeah. Because people might start stealing uknown work and claim it as there own. Which is dog narrow mindedly wrong. I am sure we would be allowed to put these wonderful creation on the STEX however we need full permission from the author and we need to recognise th author and know who he is...

I hope we can ahve it on the Exchange cause its a beautiful BAT...

Yeah, I will try to contact the admin for SimCityForce and see if I can figure out who built those. Gimme a day or two and I should have an answer for you. If possible, I may try to walk the person through the registration on here. Some Japanese know how to write English better than actually speaking it, so while it may be broken, he may be able to communicate with all of us directly. I will let you know what I find out.

I downloaded that el-rail station a while ago (well, last summer...) and it looks really good in-game. I'm actually using it all over in my city 9.gif

It really deserves to be uploaded so people can enjoy just like jeronij and me.

Hey, I tried to contact the admin of SimCityForce but have not heard back from them. The guy that designed all of that stuff hasn't been active in a while. A lot of what I was able to find was back in 2004. I will keep trying to find him though and will let you know if I get anything. BTW I start my Japanese lessons next month or in June. Yay! Being taught Japanese by Japanese people for free, thats the way to go!

actually, I've already asked about it on SimCityForceBBS (http://kamurai.itspy.com/bbs_simforce/wforum.cgi?no=8480&reno=no&oya=8480&mode=msgview&page=0)

Kamurai said that he did try to contact Aviation Club, but couldn't make it.  General agreement on SimCityForce is that as long as you give the credit, you can upload by yourself.

First off, as Tracker pointed out, ks has posted his latest two towers on the STEX. I see that together they've gotten about 1,500 downloads in the past 24 hours and more comments than I can remember seeing in a looooooooong time.

Welcome to Simtrop ks! Thanks again for sharing your work with us here! This is a truly international site and we hope you and your colleagues in the Japanese SC4 community will feel free to visit and post your BATs here in the future!

Thanks also Mogwai1313 and 2ch.net simplayer for your liaison efforts. Where does that leave us? To start, what is the name of the creator of the elevated rail/monorail stations?

The creator of the E-Rail and Monorail stations is named Rougetsu. It means December in Japanese, which is funny because I say December a different way than that but I am going with the dictionary definition on this. 4.gif Perhaps, 2ch.net simplayer can correct me if I am wrong.

BTW, where are you at in Japan, 2ch.net simplayer? I live in Fukuchiyama, its about two hours away from Osaka by train. If you are in my area, maybe we could hook up sometime.

Pnorrell was considering what our next step should be in sorting out all of this Japanese BAT business and an idea occurred to me just now. Perhaps, we could go through the STEX and start sorting all of the Japanese BATS we DO have and maybe providing a set of links to those in a sticky or something, somewhere in this thread. We could create a sticky for buildings, rail accessories, props, seaside stuff, and parks. That would make getting at the stuff we have a much quicker process for those looking for specific items. That and if we start sorting or providing links now, it would be much quicker than if we decided to do this later on, when we have more files to deal with.

That is one avenue we could start pursuing, any thoughts?
