It´s been a long time since my last mosaic, so it is a good moment to make a very close one, so you can see my street side mod in action, as well as a "living" city, with all the traffic and accidents and such...

I hope you like it !!!

Of course, thanks to all for the nice compliments !!! You are great people 44.gif !!!

usnaguy, those are some wonderful freight stations made by Deadwoods, and available in the STEX.

Constantina, it is nice to know that this Region has a name´s  "twin" 2.gif

I have to add, that this time I slightly midified the pics with PSP before making the mosaic, and I think it looks quite nice this way. I hope you  think so !!!

Wow, that is the longest mosaic I've ever seen! I guess it is a good thing that I have a mouse wheel! Your presentation of eye candy is amazing, and that city looks very prosperous. All I've got to say, man, is woooooooooooooooooooooow!!

Classic as always your attention to industrial areas is something so often neglected by others and the mosaic really captures the down adn gritty aspects of the city.

citihawk, alek and DocWright, thanks for your lovely feedback !!! Your comments are apreciated.

It seems most of the CJ visitors did not like the mosaic though.  Not sure if it is worth it to make some other that were rounding my mind.

Have a nice day all !!!

I personally loved it Jeroni...if you want to accomodate everyone, just do what John does...create your own graphics image...make it some ridiculously huge height x 600 wide...and just make your mosaic in there...then, provide a link & warn people that it is huge...that way, we can still see your mosaics...and people that don't want to see them can simply not click the link...  2.gif

Well, I just saw it know, I last checked your CJ 1 hour before your latest update, and didn't realized you had updated it until today. And by the rate CJs born in this forum, one's bound to loose track of the CJs we usually visit. One minute they are at the top of the list, the other minute they had just disapeared down to 2nd or 3rd page.

Anyway, I loved your mosaic and I would be very sad if you would stop making them. 2.gif

    hey jeronij,

Incredible fantastic updates!! I absolutely love the long mosaic - of course, I am a little partial to long mosaics myself. I really felt like I was on a ride through your city from an industrial harbor down through a grotty residential area and on to the business sector and wealthier homes. It had such a genuine feel to it. I noticed at one point where your mosaic joined the street traffic is sort of overlapping revealing the joint. I think there is a way to avoid that if you change the settings of your traffic in the options button. That should allow all your traffic to stand still when you pause the game. That way when you make the mosaic you won't get that "traffic seam". But that is just a minor detail. It was a really great mosaic!

In the previous update I love all the wearhouses in the port area and all the mossy walls heading down to it. I like in particular how you interrupted the walls to allow the rocks to jut out a bit. That is such a beautiful natural touch. I think most people (including myself) would have been inclined to just smooth over that and make the walls cover the entire thing.

    Keep up the beautiful work!

Looks great jeronij. The city is very dense and such. My favorite area is the port area by the bridge. Maybe plop one of those container ships that you used in the other port?

The freight terminals also looks great along with the hilly action of the area. Great use of reataining walls and all too.

Ah Jeronij, sorry that I missed your last update. Yes, I think that has to be the longest and one of the best mosaics I've seen on Simtropolis. I actually laughed when I saw that car crash in the middle of the downtown. Glad to see that you added an industrial area to the right of the city... it just seems more realistic with it there. This city just seems so awesome.

    Hello dear Simtropia visitors !!!

Thanks for the feedback all. Including salut221. Btw, salut221, constructive criticism and suggestions are always welcome. Simply saying "I dont like it" does not help me much to improve it.

I was feeling the need to make another mosaic tonight, so I stoled some time to the night to make this one.

I´ll follow Jason´s suggestion, and I ´ll post a thumbnail. The mosaic is 1.5 MB big in size.

    I hope you like it.

kant01, thanks for your so detailed and pleasant comment. You described so well the work in the cliffs near the cargo area !!!. Once you mentioned this, I noticed that I try to make this type of construction most of the time.

    To all:
I try to conform to the terrain as much as posible ( in fact this was one of the "secrets" in SCR 36.gif !!!).  From this Cj I would encourage to all the CJ´rs to try to be more adaptable to the terrain. I know it is very easy to flatten and build, but I can tell you that is much more challenging to try to build conforming to the land. And you will be much more pleased with the results !!!

I hope you like the mosaic !!!

Amigo your mosaics are always interesting AND beautiful, so please, don't ever stop because some people don't like them. I'm more than sure that the majority of your regular readers love them.

Anyhow, great work again my friend

Jeronij, congratulations, your work is still incredible. I appreciate the fact that you take time to develop new items to fit your desires. If it doesn't exist, you create (or help) create what is required by your imagination rather than settle for what others have created (seawalls, trees, Tsing Ma bridge, etc, etc, etc......). Simtropolis is an amazing community without your efforts, but it is much improved by your presence. Please don't ever stop your amazing work.

Wow, even if there's a couple of abandoned buildings, it still adds to the charm of S'Illot. [What does that name mean, anyway]

This is, personally, one of my favourite mosaics.

Great mosaic again, the details you put into your industrial areas is astonishing. Ant that entrance to the sea breaker, nice, just couldn't spot from where it came from. 2.gif

    jeronij

I think that's great advice and I agree completely. I have been trying to move in that direction myself to avoid having that smoothed over, generic feel to it.  It definitely gives the CJ's more variety to work with the natural terrain in that way.

As for this second mosaic, it is another beauty! I do really love that  red soil in the terrain, particularly with the greenery in the trees and different buildings - it has a really nice effect.

I am sort of curious what those moss colored rocks are that you have plopped by the water?  Are those part of the water flora mod or a different plop mod? I have one ploppable rock option but nothing like that. Those are really great looking.
