Jeronij:That has got to be the most realistic rural community I have seen!! It feels just like home to me! I Especially like the tree belts between fields and the little curving lane, going up the slope! Simtropia and Red Rock are beautiful!

Just one beer and I can't be beat. Just a whole case and I can't remember, who beat me up.

Nice farming area. I like that farming layout. Although .. those midrises .., oh well.

My favourite is 02.08: this soft sloped road is superb among these fields!!

Amazing update jeronij! 9.gif

I'm loving your work. Keep it up.

These updates just blast me away.

Are you using any farm mods? If so, where are they found? 42.gif

Great work jeronij.

Jeronij-

Well, the new updates certainly fulfill expectations...nice work!

Also, thank you for your thoughtful and helpful replies to my questions.  I have already realized that there is a wealth of tools available to me via this website and so, per your advice, I am going slow.  I think I was able to successfully install the NAM last night, but I have not tried it out yet to see if I did things correctly or not.

But you know me (or are learning!), always another question!

About ploppable trees:  If I make a tree ploppable, does that mean I can place it on top of other tiles?  I have tried planting trees along my roadsides using the in game Mayor Mode trees (which I assume are ploppable) but they won't plant in street/road/avenue margins.  The in game Mayor mode trees will plant on top of some lots, but not on others.  What's a Mayor to do?

Off to try my new NAM tools...

Mi amigo, I was looking at your update, and thinking How can I comment on this? I'm running out of words again! How can I express my feelings when I'm seeing such beauty! Well here I go I don't know how 20.gif, I just can say that we're witnessing creation at his best, 19.gif if I were to make a comparison, I would say that you are the poet of Simtropolis.
And I really like those gentle slopes on which you installed the farms.

Jeroni you really are a sculptor.

Take care amigo!

Wow, that looks really good... That is totally going to suck that I won't be on this computer for at least 5 days because of Rita! (Not to even mention how long the power will be out!)

Yes, you'll have 12 pages to browse through with about 3 updates from Jeroni on them, with most of the rest comprised of Sloppet posts! 18.gif

Your plopped water park was indeed most beautiful, as is your night shot. Your farms seemed to lack something...perhaps...I don't know, around here farmers generally have trees between them and other farmers, and sometimes even between them and the road; for reasons of privacy and windbreaks for the crops; sometimes the fields are set back a bit. Perhaps it's a beef I have with the SC4 farms in general...CSX has done much to improve this, but usually there will be more than one building and more than one field in a farm!! And often there will be pasture for animals, with animals in them 2.gif

I gotta agree.  I lived in rural farming country for almost 20 years before moving to the city and what you describe is true.  Not all farms grow plant crops, either...some are cattle farms, chicken farms, dairies, etc.  However, I do seem to remember finding a bunch of cool rural/farm lots on the STEX late one night, so maybe it's possible to create more diversity than what's available with the in game farms.  And, Jeronij did say that he is using just the in game farming tools so far

Another poster commented a while ago about power lines crossing farmland and I have to agree there, too, as underground power rarely existes in rural areas...everything is over head.  Maybe someone could make (or has made?) a wired utility pole from the existing power line towers in the game?  Or, alternatively, when zoning farms, zone up to the edges of power lines but not over them.  That would leave them in place, right?  Another idea is to create a smaller windmill that generates less juice and then install individual windmills on individual farms, so they are off the grid.

But, back to other types of farms, creating pastures with animals in them could be complex, as of course you would want the animals to be animated.
