Jason: Your good at creating American WTW buildings. I have a problem... On a corner lot... I have buildings that fit to the right 1x2 like so _| (with fronts on both sides) but I don't have any that fit to the left 1x2 like so |_ (with fronts on both sides). Anything coming up with this configuration?

I've been busy with school, but on Friday I came home for Christmas break, and today I had the chance to do some BATing.  I didn't work on any of my existing projects though.  But this one will actually be quick.  So far I've only spent about 5 hours on it, and I'm sure in another 5 it will be a completed .SC4Model, ready for the game.

I'll be busy with other things over break, but I'll still have a lot of time, so I plan to chisel away at the list I posted a few posts ago.

Looking great. Is it a real building or a creation of your imagination?

Wow, I think this style looks like garbage in real life, but I can't get enough of it in SC4. This looks great. Though the windows have me a bit confused... Is is supposed to look like there are panes of glass missing? It looks almost abandoned in that respect. I really like how it turning out though.

    It's imaginary.

Also, it fits on a 2x3.

SimHoTToDDY:  It's supposed to be like one of those newer European modern buildings.  The window assemblies are based off of this http://www.flickr.com/photos/insashi/2359346222/    and are arranged kind of randomly on the facade.  I think I need to clean mine up a lot though, come to think of it.  It's not reading very well.

Hey Jason. This new buidling looks very promising. These kind of generic office buildings are really needed. Something's not quite working with the windows though.

Hopefully this makes what the facade is supposed to be more clear.

I'm going to make a transit (subway + bus stop) station to go along with it.  This will kind of be like VanWingerden Plaza.

For the names I'm thinking Trier Tower and Trier Station.

Very nice model Jason. Texture look a bit too bright though... Actually, maybe less saturation on the textures? Anyway, I am curious to see what nightlighting method you will go for! 9.gif

    =O

I love it! Such a cool station!!! About the lotting though, I think if you get rid of a few trees and perhaps do more shrubs, or incorporate the trees into the shrub arrangements if you know what I mean. The cross arrangement isn't doing much for me either. But honestly, I think it looks great as is.

Tower still looks strange, mostly the juxtaposition of the cheery bright windows and the black holes of... well what ever those are. Still love it, and if that's the look you are trying to recreate, then I'm fine by that.

    Station is sweet,

    -Todd

This is something completely different than your usual NY/CHI style buildings, definitely very unique. I agree that the Trier Tower needs to get used to, but you will find something like this in virtually any city. The station looks just great, perfect for an urban setting. My only suggestion would be to get rid of the random tree prop family, since it somewhat destroys the uniform look of the building and your shrub arangement. By any chance, is the name "Trier" derived from the German city with the same name? I'm asking because I live less than two hours away from Trier, in the heart of the wine-growing area of Germany. 4.gif

Love the tower and station. They go quite well together. 9.gif The grey and white tiles on that station do have a nice effect and I like the shrubs.
