Did not know about this. I used the range that the SC4Tools program gave me, looks like it is not giving the right numbers or something, so if I could get a range of numbers for my textures, I'd be grateful.

Didn't you see the warning about asking for a range at the bottom of the Texture creation screen?

I have allocated 0xD4F00000 to 0xD4FFFFFF to you and am sending a PM with instructions how to use them in SC4Tool.

vinlabsc3k: perhaps if you didn't post every message in large fonts and were a little more polite you might have had an answer sooner. You have been allocated 0xD4E0000 to 0xD4EFFFFF. If you are using SC4Tool plese send me a PM and I will tell you how to use them in that.

Hello,

I am working on some railyard textures. I began this project in Dec 2003 and then shelved it for awhile. The textures I had completed so far were similar to Stardog13's textures but with more options. At the time there were not very many textures available and the IID numbers I used are probably not current. Is there any chance I can get a currently unused number range for overlay and base textures? Please?

I've been a member here for quite a while, I just din't post anything. I believe that you learn more by listening than talking.

I began work on a more realistic looking railyard back in early 2004 and then shelved the project (and the game) for awhile. The problem with the game is that ALL of the Rails are double tracked. Even when people posted Transit enabled Lots, they were ALL double tracked! So I began working on some base and overlay textures that would enable me to put together a more realistic Rail Yard (something EA promised but did not deliver in Rush Hour). The textures I developed also have many uses in other types of Industrial lots.

I recently restarted the game and the project but found that the IID's I had used were out of date so to speak. I've requested a new number range but have yet to hear anything. I would like to contribute some of the Lots and Textures I've created, but that one detail is holding everything up.

I'm not on any project teams or a regular contributor to the STEX,(i did make a donation to the site tho, and received the Vol1 CD), but I would like to become one. I've reviewed all of the previous post and found that D4B00000 thru D4BFFFFF are not in use. May I reserve this range?

    Hi!

Starting with 0xEEEEFF00, up to 0xEEEEFFFF, I would like to have this ID range reserved for my LOTs and other things like textures etc.

I have already released a LOT (Pedestrian Mall Connector) which uses the range from 0xEEEEFF01 to 0xEEEEFF05, and have some more LOTs which are in use within a multiplayer game on simszone.de, using IDs up to 0xEEEEFF21.

Well, I apologize for this. I didn't think about a reservation request at the time I made them.

@ Constantina  The range 0xd7000000 to 0xd74fffff is reserved for you

@ Wilfried Webber  The range 0xeeee0000 to 0xeeeeffff is reserved for you

I will PM you both on how to put these into SC4Tool so that they will always be selected for you.

Adm Lee J.E. Braden, the range 0xD7A00000 to 0xD7FFFFFF is reserved for you.
As regards to help with the SC4tool, the tutorial part of the program is pretty good.  If you have any specific queries after that then please get in touch.  The only other thing that you must be aware of is the 'wealth marker' in the texture IIDs.  Please read my first post of this thread.  However, to be safe, if you DON'T want to make a wealth texture, do not use an IID with a 0, 1, 2 or 3 in the fifth place of the IID.  (For example, 0xD7A00000, 0xD7A01000, 0xD7A02000 or 0xD7A03000).

I am not sure if someone else hhave figured this out already but as the first message is not updated i will post it here:

The 6th digit is a version for an abandoned texture.

if =0 it is a normal lot, if the lot is abandonned it is 1.

    Cya!
