I guess once the pc release is out and they finally put the heists into gtao, also allowing for some bugfixing for both releases, they head straight into a fullblown payware dlc.

Maybe (actually most likely) they're at it as we speak but it's still classified information.

I definitely can't see them doing it w/o any dlc. Granted, R* is always up for a surprise but I doubt they chicken out on this opportunity both for monetary and creative reasons.

Yep. Terrible news indeed, but Rockstar yesterday confirmed that GTA V for PC will be delayed by another three weeks from the formerly announced march 24th to april 14th, 2015. Rockstar's excuse is that they want to make the game as good as possible before release, and, after GTA IV's terrible PC launch, who could blame them? 

 

In better news, they confirmed in the same message that the Heists update for all consoles will be available for free on March 10th, and they also decided to post a couple more screenshots from said update for good measure.

I have played it on Xbox 360, sold it, bought it back on PS4 and played a few 200 hours on it. Managed to get 100% Story mode (without cheats of course, otherwise you'll get stuck at 99.99%) and got all trophies in the offline mode for PS4 as well.

 

IMO, rockstar brings out the best open world games to date. Have enjoyed playing all these GTAs' but I'm not going to get it on PC.

 

Still waiting for a Red Dead Redemption sequel!

In a way, yes. The original delay to January 29th had Rockstar telling everyone they would gett 500,000 in single player and 500,000 online if they preordered. They announced in the report of the recent delay I mentioned that I'd get another 200,000 online for the lengthened wait. That's fine by me.

They give it another delay beyond april 14th and - I swear to all gods, past and present - I cancel my preorder and not gonna touch anything Rockstar again. ever.

Yes that's me writing this, a diehard GTA fan ever since the first title and I play V since day one and also preordered it's collectors edition back then.

I know R* has a hard time keeping it's release dates and delay everything but these delays with the heists and the PC version... too much, sorry.

after my first 2 or 3 hrs heisting away - next to the big issue with the new content not showing up in single player - I must say that this game seems to be played by deaf, illeterate lowbrainers.
95% of all the jobs I did screwed up because at least one of the heist members did not stick to the mission plan, which means you'll fail the heist... a plan presented to you both aural and written

This is one downside to releasing a game on multiple platforms as opposed to one exclusively. People who have different versions of the game cannot play together online since the systems aren't compatible. If the game were exclusive to one particular platform, this problem would not exist.

I personally love Rockstar's GTA series and have been a fan since Vice City came out. GTAV is super fun and always keeps me coming back for more, sadly however I have had a few issues with the game on my Xbox 360 Console.

 

I have located 49/50 letter scraps but cant find the last one and I have double checked each area.

 

and I have yet to be able to do the private cab missions with Franklin even after beating the game and reaching 87% overall completion.

 

Heists are super fun and I'm so glad they have been released! So far I have only been able to complete the fleeca job though.

have you bought the taxi lot yet? this should unlock the taxi missions for franklin. stay tuned for phone calls. just do other stuff and roam the map because these missions are location and time sensitive and not triggered globally.

I've heard rumors that finishing all towing missions helps triggering the taxi missions, but I can't confirm this.

 

EDIT: BTW, new pc trailer tomorrow. 60fps. yay.

Man,i`m also very exited about the release of this game.One of my tiny concerns is that they will take the car damage system from the older PS 3 and XBox Releases which would be a bad thing.

I don`t expect car damage like in GRID but it needs to be improved.With GTA IV the damage was pretty well done and after some tweaking with killertomate`s realistic handling mod (which includes a 150% and 300% more damage) it was almost perfect.Dropping a car from a skyscraper resulted always either in an explosion or made the car look like a squished soda can...

Also i`m exited to know on which systems this game will run.The bottle neck of my PC might be the Graphics Card which might be too weak for this (AMD 7770 HD by MSI) but on the other side there is my small screen resolution (1366x786).

Only time will tell.

What are the other specs?

I got a watercooled i7 3820 running at 4ghz, 8gb ram and got myself a gtx980 early december for the sole purpose of enjoying V as smooth and awesome as possible. gonna upgrade to 16gb ram just for the fun of it

official minimum pc specs are:

win vista 7 or 8 64bit(!)

core 2 quad q6600 2,4ghz or amd phenom 9850 2,5ghz

4gb ram

nvidia 9800gt 1gb or amd hd4870 1gb, minimum dx10 and r* recommends nvidia

65gb hdd space

And I thought Blizzard was bad when it came to HDD bloat.

 

Other than that, my laptop actually beats the minimum specs, so maybe I can run it on there, although at low settings

Well, Cities Skylines has the same recommended specs than GTA V.

Both recommend a i5 3470 with 3,2 Ghz, a 2GB graphicscard and 8GB RAM.

Cities Skylines runs perfectly fine with 50 FPS on full settings.

My System:

Win 7 sp1

Pentium i5 3470 with 3, 2 Ghz and Turboboost with 3, 6 Ghz

8GB RAM

AMD 7770 HD by MSI

I guess the reason why C SK is running smooth because i have a small screen with a resolution of 1366x768
