@Zulu - Do you have a street mod? if not, I would recommend one, a streetside mod for trees and the like would also be useful. Additionally it would be good to grant pedestrian access in between those larger loops of road. I don't know how it works in the US, but typically in the UK although it's very ungriddy there are quick ways for pedestrians to move from one area to the next, often passing through green spaces on the way.

I also have to say I find the road layouts from some of the above way to griddy, Steelersfan in particular. It's fine to have some grid, but try and mix it up a little. Zulu you are going in the right direction, but it may look more realistic if you incorporate some diagonals, parkland, maybe a small church - that kind of thing.

No way, I hate diagonals, these houses will only grow on 2X2,in most neighborhoods I will have a pool, but I am aiming for Charlotte NC realism, they do not have trees on their sidewalks and they look pretty much like this. They also don't build churches in their neighborhood, outside of them instead, but thanks anyway. I only build like that for realism, and I'll try to make it swoopier but I don't know about diagonal.

I agree with this. Please take off your grid by pressing g, minimize all menus and then take your picture by pressing ctrl-shift-s, and I like how your suburbs don't have too much grid. Andreas Roth has a great Street Tree mod that makes suburbs look more realistic :thumb: .

Zulu: Minimize your control panel before taking a picture. It makes it look a million times better :)

You should make a CJ of your city. :thumb:

I might do that but i need to finish at least 3 more tiles in order to make a CJ...

Not neccessarily, you can show it off as you build it. Are those smooth AVE2 curves in the NAM? I never knew those existed :O

I have one criticism though and that is your picture quality, it looks very blurred.

Your pictures would look so much better if you :read:

1. Minimized all menus

2. Press Ctrl-Shift-S

3. Take your picture without the menus showing

4. And also if you didn't already turn off the UDI icons

:thumb:

Here is a subdivision with some town houses and a sign showing what subdivision it is. :]

Jack, I like that park! It's a great idea. I'll probably use that kind of layout to make my larger suburban parks. :)

Anywho, here is the most affluent neighborhoods in all of Illium. This area is called Grapevine :)

This is one of the upscale areas of my city. I've been doing a lot of work on the transportation system lately.

Thanks! 44.gif

The canals are originally Moonlinght's (here) and I changed them a bit in the Lot Editor for my cities.
