I keep working, Dragon. I just can't render Santa Fe yet, but it's COMPLETELY done in gmax. I was supposed to go buy a 512mb RAM chip this weekend, but I missed the computer show. Damn!

I'm currently working on nightlighting for the Smurfit-Stone building in addition to my NDEX projects. It will be full nightlighting, ala the most recent NDEX releases. That's something I CAN render.

PDA is, in a sense, dead. All that is left is a skeleton crew of 2 BATers (I think) and there haven't been any new releases for a long time. The days of PDA being a big player in the BAT world are over, and from my standpoint, we will be lucky if what is left of PDA can get a few smaller releases out before it becomes completely inactive.

A real shame, since their buildings are among my favorites.

Right now, my time is divided between NDEX automata-making and PDA batting. I've nearly perfected the process for the automata-making.

After that, I should be able to do more BATting, since the automata-making will only take about 1/2-hour per job.

I will say one thing, though - I have something in the works right now. It will be a PDA release, involve automata in a special way, and it will come in 3 sizes.

See if you guys can guess what it is - if you're right, I just may do a BAT request. king_arthurkom, you can't guess, you already know.

Automata are the vehicles, pedestrians, and animals in the game.

The upcoming lot will generate a new type of vehicle, never seen before.

Well, seeing as how no one is posting here..

I my as well post that project.

This is the United States Post Office in Chicago, IL. It is currently unused (abandoned), but at the time it was built, it was the world's largest post office.

The lot will be 6x14, and it will allow a ground highway through it. The lot is also significant because it is the first split building for johnnie2's Split Building Initiative.

Looks great, and the highway going through it is an interesting touch!

Currently preoccupied with architecture school...lurking with caution.

Looks awesome, I wonder how you are gonna make it transit enabled since the highway is under the building.

Do you think that the height above the highway needs to be increased, it's seems that there isn't much clearance to me.

Actually, there's enough clearance. Remember, there's three lanes on each side of a highway.

In fact that's the actual height, give or take about 3 feet. Don't worry, I did a draft a while back. It works fine.

What has happened to PDA?
quote>

PDA went down with Geoff Diamond left, and JT portland isn't around that much anymore. That's all I really know, you might wanna ask Ardeclia in a PM.

Okay - since ppl keep asking, I'll say this again: PDA is not dead. Both jtportland and geoff_diamond have RLS (real-life syndrome). Basically, I'm the steward of PDA.

Geoff should be back once his school ends and summer begins.

JT is studying hard, I imagine, since he's pre-med.

As for making this an NDEX project: absolutely not. I've said it before: my NDEX projects are only automata-related. My BATs, especially the Chicago ones, are PDA projects. Besides, PDA is more architecture-centered, whereas NDEX is more coolness-centered.

I'm glad that PDA isn't dead.  I do miss their buildings but I got the old ones and memories.  I'm glad that your keeping the name out there with your work and I don't know what RLS is but isn't that and BSC Project I think some of simgoobers stuff was RLS but it doesn't matter.  I really don't know about the different styles but it's nice to see 2 different styles here so keep doing ur thing for NDEX you know I have a big respect for them, but I'm glad ur keeping PDA going until the summer.  Once summer hits then hopefully we will see more from all three.  Can't wait for that.

Keep up the good work.

Much Respect,

Mickele Macon

I am still waiting for International Trade Center 2, which was mentioned to be bigger and better than the first building in International Trade 1s description.

(yah, I know, you guys have probably completely forgotten about it, but I won't! 3.gif)
