Hi all welcome.

This is my first post here. Since I am new here introduce myself.

I come from Polish, specifically from Bydgoszcz. I am here under the pseudonym "abstinent", but I'm better known as DaveN (like on the www.simcitypolska.pl). Is an abbreviation of the name and first letter of the surname. It's in the introduction. But move on to the meaning of the case.

A few weeks ago I started my adventure with gmax. The beginnings were not easy. It started with a simple cottage with a sloping roof. Then there was the cottage with a flat roof.

The first serious addition I made was inspired by a block of blocks from the 60's, built in my town. Below here are some pictures about this project. It was formed in a total of four different colors. The first two as a slightly soiled and worn, and two as a repainted and refurbished.

foto7d.png

foto15o.png

Then, after several attempts was my first serious BAT.

The choice fell on one of the nicer houses w2w restored in my town. As it turned out. This house is one of many buildings by the same architect. And so was born the idea to possibly play as much as possible for SC4 a set of buildings from the late nineteenth century.

1. This house was built in 1892 by Joseph Swiecicki. The construction of residential and commercial building commissioned Swiecicki's Joseph, in 1892, Carl Peschel rentier. Arranged for a house builder distinctive rich, baroque detail contrasting with the brick face of the wall like in the embodiments of mannerism representing northeast.

And here it is:

gdanska101.png

Then, my choice fell on this house here

2. In 1896, the owner of a thriving dye, which is situated on the banks of the Brda - Młynówka, William J. Kopp Swiecicki's commissioned to design a new building, old buildings at the front. Established four-storey building with two wings, which is an example of neo-Baroque with a very rich, artistically developed facade with balconies and elaborate gables ending its extremist parties.

foto28.png

Shortly later, I decided to do a little bit easier and simpler construction house

3. House rent from 1897 made for rentier Ignatzego Czarnecki is one of the humblest of the acquis J. Swiecicki. Tenement is a symmetrical facade and cost-effective architectural detail is limited in principle to the bands and cornices, and window glazing alluding to the classicist forms.

kollataja5.png

And how far my latest work completed this morning, which was established in two forms, colors. Lighter version of a version similar to the original, darker version of the hand was by myself reflected, while the color is my own design. I would add that this is my first corner tenement.

4. Attractive, corner residential building designed and built in 1890 for its multi-owner, rentier Alexander Theil. On the ground floor there were three stores, each with a small apartment in the back. However, the floors were provided for two representative, four-room apartment. Today, restored town house has been maintained in the style of historicism, which draws from the repertoire of forms of neo-renaissance. What makes it special ornamental painting between the windows on the first floor, from the street.

Welcome to ST, I have followed your progress in SC4devotion and it is really outstanding, your creations are getting better and better and incredibly fast.

About your w2w house I was thinking that you can add a little bit of a gradient to the roof texture, and to number 4 you may want to add some grim to the roof near the ledge.

Have you give it a go to night-lights?

Great work!

I do not know how well I understood it all, because I do not speak English very well. But if so, I explained that the buildings, which created, in fact, be restored and presented in a fairly clean. Certainly in future I'll do those that will look less presentable.

And finally, as I understand it. Present version of the night my accomplishments.

    Hello again.

A little bit I was not here, but that's only because I was busy creating another add-on. The overall mass is already finished. Was to create a rear wall, and blind wall, and a few minor amendments. I hope that you will fall to the taste. Later still be tailored to the size of the plot. Although it is quite unusual building, as a wall adjacent to the building, while the second wall is not blind and it's entry into the rear of the property. I plan to do this building as a building corner. Leaving such an unusual version of a replication of the original, and the creation of stone wall with a gate, so that the building was 100% built to w2w.

What do you think about this project?

    Any comments most welcome.

Best wishes and I look forward to comments.

Great work just a couple of details with the roof (a picture explains it better). Also don't forget to work a little bit more on the textures...

    Harishna:

I know what you mean, but as said before, rear wall was still not done, and when it comes to the front cornice dark in contrast to the cornice on the side, please, here's a picture of the original building.

    gdanska94.png

    gdanska94_1b.jpg

I would probably dispel some doubts. Buildings were at one time can and built with attention to detail, but the reconstruction is not always perfect. And I take it as a model is able to today.

Not every building is ideal, and not all four buildings have to perform perfectly. Deviations must be left to give the game more realism. But I see that you carefully tracking my achievements and for subsequent projects, your comments I have in mind.

Thank you for your comments and always look forward to any suggestions and criticisms.

    Hello all.

    Today I present another progress.

It was created and the second version of the darker wall with a gate, so that the building fit into the W2W. The lighter version, which is similar to the original have been corrected several textures and details.

    foto42y.png

I will make it even to the corner house at 100% to match the building W2W. But it requires some work and show it at a later date.

    What do you think?

This might be? Is there anything else to fix?

Best wishes and have a nice watch and comment.

As a reminder, I might add that most of my work is available at the downloads section on www.simcitypolska.pl

I think you should slow down just a bit and spend more time improving the look of the textures. The second version the bricks need to be de-saturated but I am not even sure if I like them at all...in both versions the roof textures also need some attention.

I think your model its good but looking at the real one I must say that your windows are little bit too wide and that gives a bulk sensation especially for the tower. This is a really minor detail I will be more concern about getting the textures to look good.

    Great work!

    Harishna and the others:

Thank you for further advice. It's always valuable suggestions. As for the texturing I have a problem with that, since my collection of textures is still quite large. On the other hand have a problem with distinguishing colors, resulting in even more difficult for me to correct texturing models. Some things I simply feel. I changed the texture of bricks. I gave her another one, and additionally highlighted with a little bit, so it is not so bright. I changed the texture of the roof.

I miss his way of simulating the texture of the roof of tar paper. So if anyone has and would be willing to share it please.

    foto43.png

As for windows, I can say is that, I try to reproduce the real buildings having regard to the parameters of the game. Sometimes the problem is, because you have to find the right proportions. In this case I have to go for a compromise. Definitely it would be easier if I made my own models. Then all of the details would have been easier to create and proportions would look better. But I think that did not work out badly. Building on the tile 1x1 is too large, while the 2x2 is a little too small. I had to find some intermediate size. Therefore, the windows seem to be a little too broad. Nevertheless, I shall also draw attention to this.

Waiting for further instructions. For me it looks much better, but maybe you found something that could be improved.

    Hello.

I made a few amendments the ornate tower in the bright version. I think that it is now about in terms of a model. At most they can be confident any more comments on the texture. I look forward to your comments.

    Now it looks like this:

    foto46.png

If you have no objections to the revised model will also be a brick version. Darker version is shown in a few comments above. Is the outside of the amendments, which I need to move from the bright versions are there any objections?

Have a nice watch and I'm looking forward to the guidance.

I am just learning. Gmax for the first time I launched a month ago. I still have a lot of things I do not know. Each time an item is added, which I learned. I try to in any subsequent use what you already know, and always try new things. I still far to the Batter's most experienced, but I think that with every project I approached them. More and more details appear on my building. Increasingly, I'm trying to simplify things. But it's a long learning I would still mastered it to perfection. Thanks for your kind words and encourage you to further activity. Any comments welcome.

Probably not all supplements submitted in this thread will be available on the STEX. All are available on www.simcitypolska.pl where I started my adventure. And that I create add-ons known to us from our Polish cities are mainly I placed them there.

    Welcome.

Some days I was gone, but it's because of increased work, seem to me, the most complex project to date have done. The building built in two versions. Version with annexes is practically completed. Only think about changing the texture felt roof, the other textures are taken from the original building and put a little cosmetic treatments. However, the version without the annexes will be "repainted".

    Version with annexes:

    foto54.png

    Version without annexes:

    foto50.png

This is an earlier version of texture, so do not ask too much attention. It was one of the first version, because I made a version without first outhouse, then remodeled and put on the texture of the original version, that is, with an annexe. For a simpler version of the concept I was looking for texturing.

Waiting for your comments and suggestions. Maybe you have an idea of what colors to make this version without the outhouse?

    Welcome all.

A little bit I was not here, but it was associated with a lot of other things to do in life.

Tomorrow I'm going to sit down again to make further beatings. I completed one project, and I'm in the process of creating another.

In the meantime, caught me great joy when I saw that my first addition https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/files/file/26147-kamienica-bydgoszcz-gdanska-101/ has been awarded to the forum in the "Hall of Fame " https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/topic/42323-the-stex-hall-of-fame/

This is a huge honor for me, because it was my first project, which I decided to share, and I am extremely happy that my attempts and efforts have been so highly appreciated and so very appreciated.

I hope that my next job that will not be inferior in terms of wyknania. Every project I try to schedule as accurately as possible, and for each subsequent use something new, which means that subsequent work is more demanding.

Soon, will present a further progress in the project work and for the moment I'm still excited about the awards, which to me.

    Hello again.

After a several lack of progress in work on another project, I managed to complete the overall massing of the building.

There is still work to do on the other input, the invisible hand, several smaller pieces, any amendment to the textures and minor details and at the end of scaling.

    foto62.png

How do you like the current progress? I hope not lost your patience in waiting for more photos.

If you have any comments feel free to smash it. I greet and encourage commenting.

    Specifically for you TOD

A huge thanks for your words of appreciation. I'm trying to maintain its level and possibly increase my skills. Once again a huge thanks.

Could you do a perspective view? Like harishna said, slow down a little as you might forget some BATs and it ends up not being released.

I do not have a typical perspective view. I present below three photos that I've done for the project.

    img0036v.jpg

    img0037c.jpg

    img0040ij.jpg

I fixed some texture. I finished the whole body of the building. Earned a frame at the entrance gate. There are still some minor details, such as switch blades on the towers and at the end of scaling.

I have a question now as to the texture you like.

    foto63.png

Like something I ask for comments because of the textures that I will always have a problem by not distinguishing between some colors:)

If you will not be too many comments that maybe tomorrow or the day after I manage to completely finish the project.

Best wishes and I look forward to comments.

Very very nice and interesting building!

I'd like to ask what function does it have IRL, and where is it located.

I really like the model, and i think you're doing an amazing job on it.

I'm not completely convinced by the roof, though.I believe that the "red" parts could use some de-saturation, and you should increase the contrast on the "grey" part of the roof...a well-textured roof could greatly benefit an already wonderful model ;)
