    I will make more houses and more different variations

    and I just noticed i didn't add a door to the balcony in one of the buildings

    I think the houses look great so far, but IMO they look like 90% finished because they lack some details. Aren't there any TV aerials, roof gutters, or chimneys? Besides, most windows look like black holes, which emphasises a somehow empty look. I guess better window textures with some variation could make for a considerable improvement.

     

    What I particularly like is the subtle variations on both roof and wall textures, you have become really good at texturing. :golly:

    about the chimneys - chimneys in Israel are useless  :P

     

    TV aerials - i'd add for some variations, and satellite dishes 

    maybe solar panels that are popular.

    as for variations : 

     

    the 3 left are real variations (the 2nd left is the base one) and the right one is just a really poor thing i made up ..

    OK, no gutters indeed. However, I do see some metal flashing at the edges of many roofs, especially at the gable wall (this obviously does not apply to the house shown in your last post because it doesn't have a gable wall). Those solar modules with water tanks seem to be very popular, though, and (probably more useful then a chimney) A/C units are also to be seen here and there. You know best what's typical for your area, but in any case I would advise to add as much of these little details as you can - they are what makes a small building without striking features interesting to look at, and you get that 'lived in' appearance that contributes so much to their overall impression. :)

    i added a solar panel and A/C to the more renovated house, and some balcony junk to one of the houses,

    and I also changed one of the houses' texture as well as added a TV aerial

    Yes, that's great! :) That's the general direction I meant - just some little bits here and there to give the eye something to discover.

    I want to make a 2 building pack so i took the 3rd small brown house from the first house post and re-did it..

    but the yellow texture ... is greenish and .. doesn't fit 

    I'm still working on it, and I promised my self i wont start skipping projects again and again :P

    but as for the square building, is it ready?

    What about some drainpipes coming down from the guttering?  I think that there would also be some water staining to the paintwork underneath the AC unit, but that's just splitting hairs TBH.  Overall the modelling is very good.

    Do you have a gradient on those roof textures? If not, then this would be a good step. It doesn't have to be a strong one, only a very subtle gradient. Otherwise, I think these are ready. :)

    1) Have you applied the "texture fix"

    2) Re-fit the lods and export again.

    3) Select all, save and merge into a new blank scene.

     

    Hopefully one of the above should work, More advice is in the Bat trouble shooting thread.

    You can also do this:

     

    1. select the entire building(without the LOD)

    2. save selected

    3. save as a different file

    4. go to that different file

    5. save as old file(thus overwriting it)

    6. re-create LOD

    7. export

     

     

    Works really great, it happened so often to me in the past and this method pretty much works

    One other thing to try. Make sure you're exporting with an empty plugins folder. For some reason, having files in the plugins can screw with the rendering process.

    So I decided on 5 buildings I will export

    If there are things that i need to change (and I know there are) tell me now

    I Added the city where they were taken from and the approx years

     

    For some reason the 2 from Ashdod and Gan Yavne look the same ... how can I change that ?
