The Chaser has been forbidden from covering the wedding. Not specifically them, but what they were planning has been forbidden in general. Their show is still on at the same time though. I wouldn't put it past them to try and cover it anyway. I don't think they've faced treason charges yet.

I'm fed up about it too, not because I don't like them but because media seems to have lost interest in more important themes, every channel I zap over: Royal wedding, royal wedding, nothing elles than royal wedding. They even did not play a movie I wanted to see due a "wedding special" ....

Funny story, semi-related: remember when Princess Diana died? (okay, some of you might be a little young to remember that, it was in 1997) My mother decided she needed to wake up at 3 AM to watch the funeral on TV, so there she was in the middle of the night with it on, and the volume inappropriately high. My father half wakes up, it's pitch black, he hears this funeral music... the way he tells the story, he for a minute thought he'd died and gone to heaven.

I did not witness this perosonally. I slept through it.
