Hey:

Looking nice. One thing I would consider changing is the flagstone on the front first floor. Keep the flagstone on the corner in a short brick, long brick format like on the second floor. Perhaps a little lighter roof texture? But that's not a big deal. I would also change the flagstone on the tread. Make it the same texture as the porch. The riser and tread being the same texture makes it too hard to tell one from the other IMO

PS. Is the brown guy included? 4.gif

    Ty for your advice, but as I look more and more, I fell like I missed the point on this building. It looks more a R$$ than a R$$$, and the scale could be better I think. still I made some breakthroughs while making this house, especially on lightnings (thou I never showed up a nite render, I made the night lites). So, time to look for a new model to suit on this size 4.gif

    Well.. making a breakthrough is sometimes just as important than scraping a project. There is an old saying..."Good judgement comes from experience, experience come from bad judgement." BTW. I like what you have done with the house. I would change a couple of minor things, but otherwise it's fine.

    The shape of it looks pretty good! However, i cant say much yet since what we see yet it' s just some walls, but it looks promising. I want to see more from this bat.

    yep, thats it's first show up on game. don't matter about the lot yet. I have some more details to do on model and add nightlits. then render and lot it properly. and release :)

    Really nice and interesting model it really nice that the lot is not flat but can I suggest to work the textures a bit more? and it seems a bit under-scaled to me.

    Well I've been making a lot of props and lots and while I made so, I found some stuff that were missing everywhere! W2W low densiry R$$ buildings!

    So I start sketching some :P (and yes I know there are no maxis counterparts, but it will work on the same way other buildings I made, via family sharing lots)

    Here is the first model and variation.

    It is a bit smaller than the regular mid density and it fits, accordantly to PIMX, in the low density criteria. =)

    Other one is on the hoven =P

    I also made a Low density W2W R$ corner house. There are not plenty out there :)

    No, I won't. But only because there's really nothing to criticise IMO. :thumb:

    The W2W houses remind me of holiday park bungalows, especially wit those recliners on the balcony.

    The low-wealth corner houses look splendid! I'd love to see more in that style. :yes:

    Maybe not the right thread, but I couldn't find one about your commercial office creations (pls feel free to ask a mod to move my post to another thread if you want).

    Inspired from your "Happy Offices" BAT, I have an idea/suggestion. The reason why we get so many Reflect Systems Incorporated is not only because it's the only member of its family, but because the next bigger bldg in the Euro tileset (Vu Blue Denim Headquarters) is MUCH bigger. It has 1142 jobs vs only 251 for Reflect Systems (Graber Corporate Suites has fewer jobs (1003), but it is stage-8 (talking about 2x3 lots), while Vu Blue is stage-7 and Reflect Systems stage-6, so you won't be getting Graber before Vu Blue). So you don't only need to advance growth stage, you also need high enough demand to get it. The solution you have posted (Happy Offices) will halve the occurences of Reflect Systems, however the total number of Reflect Systems + Happy Offices will be the same (visually more differentiated but still very repetitive). Another solution could be to add another building, in-between Reflect Systems and Vu Blue, ie a building offering about 500 jobs (so that the next bigger building be about 2 times bigger in each step). Such an example is the 0x4000008B family, with two members, Bunch Engineering and Ferrrara Inc. This category of buildings is unique to the Chicago tileset, and the architecture is characteristically Chicago, so you cannot use it in Euro cities. Don't know if the Maxis lots can be (re) used (again those stupid shop facades), so making some few custom lots would rather be preferable. And the BAT should rather be taller than Bunch and Ferrara, about as tall as both Reflect and Vu Blue (they are almost the same height).

    Hope to see this coming to fruition.

    I see your idea. While reading your text, I also though of making yet another thing. (re)lot some lots for Graber Corporate Suites, to make them also fit on the same stage of Vu Blue. Adding this to a new in-the-middle-building, we could (I think) add a lot more variation to the CO districts. As for the 4000008B family, I doubt we can use it, at least making them as tall as Reflect Sytems, because or we lower to much the filling degree or we shrink its base to meet the ~500 capacity. So, a new set of lots shall be made for them I believe (together with a new Cohort/family for them).

    Well, went further on the families and moved into the R$10x24, so here it is :)
