It's spring, finally. And we're expecting some rain later this week which is great since California is in a nasty drought.

What's your favorite type of weather?

Only the comics.

Where do you get most of your news from (internet, newspaper, tv, etc..)?

Anymore I just try to not find out stuff. It all is depressing or makes me mad.

Anyone else just over the news?

For the most part yes. I'll occasionally look for science-ey articles because it nets me 10 extra credit points for one of my classes.

Are you a religious person?

Explain computers. I would agree with the 4000 year old argument. :P

Do you think the paintings at Lascaux Caves are better than some more famous paintings?

Yes.  I think that we occasionally are too full of ourselves, that our modern world has smarter, cleverer, more talented people than those than came before us, but this is not true.  People are people throughout all generations across cultural boundaries.  Some of the Lascaux Cave paintings are quite nice, and some look like scrawlings on a cave, just like some art today is amazing, and some is just a square painted in the middle of a canvas.

The next person likes modern art.

I can appreciate it, but definitely not everything that's called 'modern art' (I remember a pot with mussels in the Brussels museum of modern art, I wasn't very fond of that 'work').

Would you want to live in another period? (Like, for example the 1960s, or Ancient Athens, or...)

I would like to see North Philly in it's 1900s-1940s prime.

I'm interested in anything that tells a story, whether be it myth or reality. Art (yes, stories are art :P) are appreciated without the basic genre.

What is your toughest decision? How did it turn out?

My toughest decision was whether to leave my family (parents and siblings) in Des Moines and move to Chicago just to date a girl who wasn't sure about her feelings for me.  It turned out great, but not in the way that I thought.  I ended up not marrying the girl that I moved to Chicago for, but found somebody even better.  Now I'm happily married with two wonderful kids.

What decision have you made that has made the biggest difference in your life?

Dude, I'm 33, I feel like there are a number of decisions I've made that have changed my life.  Heading to college after two years of nothing was a big one, met my future wife in our first class on the first day.  How's that for luck?  I'd also say our decision to move back to Japan after a year of unemployment in America.  Things are better than they've ever been for us, but now we're facing another HUGE one: move back to the States and try to find something fulfilling to make a living, or settle down here for good since I enjoy what I'm doing immensely.  We've been struggling with it for over a year now.

What do you think I should do, move back to America or settle down in Japan?  If you say I should move back to America, are you currently hiring and is your job fun and interesting?

Do what your and your family feel are best for your sake and theirs. That's my advice, at least.

What computer do you use.

I do like drawing.  I wish I had more time to do it.

Do you like to paint?

Just about heading off to bed. Uni tomorrow.

In regards to your previous question, that's a biggie. Honestly, I think you need to ask how comfortable you find yourself in Japan at the moment (speaking the language, culture wise etc) as well as asking yourself how comfortable your wife and kids would be if you moved back to the US with those sorts of things as well.

Also where would you move? Back to your hometown or somewhere new? It's not an easy one.

Final point, why move to the US? Australia is a pretty cool country ;)

    Ever been on student exchange?

I am planning, it's my current priority right now in Uni, but I need resources for it right now (like where to get the money, etc.)

Do you have a credit card?
