A beautiful pendant

What was the most awkward Christmas moment ever?

Hmmm... well, this year I received an "ultimate guide to Minecraft" book from my extended family, even though I didn't ask for anything of the sort. It was pretty embarrassing, because they're going to think of me as even more of a geek now.

What's your opinion on the whole "elf on a shelf" thing?

It would be scary to think someone was in my house spying on me.

If you have one up this year, when do you plan to take your Christmas tree down?

It's becoming un-Germanic?  Uh... non-Germanic?  Anti-Germanic?  I like languages so yes, I would be curious, but it would be nice to have a bit of an explanation on this question, though.

Can you help me out on the above question?

Yes. When the Norman's invaded England back in the 11th century, they brought a lot of their words which changed Old English.

Just about every word relating to cuisine, politics and art comes from French. About 30% of English has a French origin.

    Do you speak French?

Hmm... probably. I organize my books and files from A to Z. (Minus my plugins folder, though. :P :P :P)

    Why? Just Why?

. That's not what OCD really is. It's actual anxiety caused by obsessive fears of bad things happening if one thing is not a certain way or another.

Well, I used to collect Star Wars LEGOs back 3 or 4 years ago. Now, I don't collect much, although I keep magazines I get (Popular Science, ESPN) but I really love to collect books. I hope to have a huge library one day.

Depends.  Am I comfortable?  Do I know and like the people I'm with?  Then yes, yes I am.  Otherwise, I'm pretty quiet.

Do you often go out to parties?

Also:  Oh, I see, the whole Normal invasion thing.  I took seven years worth of French in high school and college, so I knew that.  My French professor always scolded us for trying to pass off English words with a French accent when we didn't know what we were talking about.  I was thinking in terms of the grammar.

No. I don't have money to give nor to buy a social ticket. I am not comfortable with crowds and very reluctant to go to even a family one.

What is your New Years resolution?

Here in Japan the answer is winter because summers are simply unbearably hot and humid, and the giant insects that show up EVERWHERE are nightmare fuel.  It is hell on earth.  Winter is cold, but you get to sit in the kotatsu and and you don't have to go outside so often and I'm from a place where winter means snow and below freezing temperatures, and that's just not what 'winter' means here.  Winter here is a farce, and no one seems to recognize it.  Go to Michigan, Japanese people.  THEN ye shall know true winter.

More delicious: fish, beef, or chicken?  Why?

Would you want a cold snowy winter or a mild one?
