For that matter, can you send those rosters to me too, please? I need to know who to look for the medals on...

Also.... anyone know if nichter85 (best New Mapper) has an account here? Searching doesn't turn anything up.

A curious note: the SC4-related awards have moved to the bottom of the list this year. They used to be on top.

Dirk did mention that the medals are looking a bit crowded.

Knocking the MOTM awards to another line will work for a while but, at some point in the not too distant future, we will need to rethink things.

One could always start splitting the Trixie icons up onto two lines if someone wins one in too many different years.

Actually, that reminds me, after the '05 Trixies, some commentary was made over the size of your icon at the time, Meg: xtrixie433.png (this was before the first "rethinking" of not showing each individual award).

Someone then jokingly photoshopped this look five years forward, which contains line breaks mid-medals:

Incidentally... they were pretty close with the '07 scheme. They did, however, overestimate how many medals you would win and underestimate how many posts you would make.

Duke: lol, lots o' medals 3.gif

Anyways, wow, thanks for everyone who nominated me for stuff. Though I'm quite surprised on some of them... Chat Insomniac runner up? Yet I'm always forced to go to bed at 915 or earlier? 3.gif And I'm pretty surprised how many catagories I got runner up in... Thanks for all the support, people!

Also, congrats to everyone else who has won a trixie! All very well deserved. And congrats to those who got runner up on those catagories, or even just nominated for them.

Page, your trixie is absolutely hilarious and fitting. Oh wait, err.... I mean... commentnotfound.

I don't know what to put here anymore.

I'll give a more gooey acceptance speech in my BAT thread, but just a quick "thank you" to all those who nominated me. I'm so glad you appreciate my contributions, enough to grant me the Best Novelty Beyond the Buildings award, and am overwhelmed that you would award me STEX Community Favorite. It makes the dozens of hours I put into each BAT, and the many hours of testing and re-testing and tweaking, so worthwhile. If I could channel a Sally Fields moment, and just cry, "You like me, you really really like me!"

I'm also grateful for the many other nominations, as well as being runner-up to so many other talented and wonderful contributors. It's cheesy to say, but just to be nominated with such an esteemed group of peers is an award unto itself. Looking forward to what the STEX will bring us in 2010!

P.S. - given my avatar and screen-name, do I get to keep the Santa hat???

Right click, save image as will allow you to save it onto your computer, where it can then be added to your actual avatar, and any other avatar you like.

On another note, when will the previous years' trixies be added to the omnibus?

Yes, that estimate was a bit over the top.   and that was when we were showing each medal, not a medal for each year with a number on it.

In the meantime, I've been looking how the santa hats fit, or don't fit, on the various avatars so I made a mosiac.  It is fairly random, in no particular order

beebs is the one doing that, we still need the 2007 and 2008 ones, so it will be a while.

I wouldn't expect the 2009 ones until the 2010 trixies.

My avatar doesn't really fit the santa hat, it moves to quickly. 3.gif

Also, when should we expect the team Trixies to come out?

If you look at my sig, you'll see nichter85 is a member of NHP2.gif  He is the one who released the Alps series of maps a couple of months ago on the STEX.  I do admit he doesn't post much if at all and he's rarely online due to RL getting in the way.

As soon as we have the team rosters, figure out the new medal combinations, make the medals (most combinations are custom made these days), disassemble the CMLs, add in the new info, reassemble them, and then we can update them.

So far, there appear to be 64 people getting team medals.   Less than the 95 CMLs that we have already created but still not a small number.

In 2005 I really was expecting to win the "Best Rural CJ". However it went to DHoppeII - deserved, no questions asked about that.

In 2006 I had one of my hiatusses right some months before the Trixie season. It knocked me off my chair (not only literally ...18.gif) when I realized I Got The Trixie!  as Best Rural CJ

In 2009 Windows 7 let me start again after a long hiatus due to severe problems with XP and my hardware. I even started a new region. And I became slower than before (and I never was among the fast ones ... 20.gif 2.gif . I though to myself, well, a Trixie would be nice but well, your CJ is more than 4 years old (5th anniversar yin June ... OMG), the number of posts is decreasing, seems to be interest is decreasing in that dinosaur of yours ...

And today I fell from my chair for the second time! 9.gif The second Best CJ Trixie! Seems to be I'll have to continue Urland for some time ...

Thanks to all of those who nominated me (not only in that category! 2.gif44.gif

And congratulation to all the other Trixie Winners! 44.gif 39.gif

Sorry to arrive late to party...

Just want to say a big thanks to all the kind folks who nominated me for a fair number of trixies, and also for the ones I won.

Along with Cockatoo, I was pretty amazed to find a '5' on my medal.

I am pleased with all my trixies, however I am especially pleased with my CJ trixies...  this is the first time I have ever won a CJ trixie, although I have had CJ nominations in the past.

As for as the 'service' trixies well...  it is very nice to be thanked for stuff that you do, however I would just like to say... in return...  you are welcome.

As for that last trixie...   funny....?    Really....?   Me....?   Aw shucks.   43.gif
