Good luck with that, Alejandro. Remember to use the 32-bit version. I think it should work because the kernel isn't very large.

What are we doing on the net on Christmas?!! Feliz Navidad.

Desktop as of December 2011:

capturedtbg201112.jpg

Minecraft and ponies have long since taken over me. However, the mess I have has stayed more or less the same. Here's my desktop from 10 months ago: dtbgsnapshotfeb2011with.jpg

I tend to make my own backgrounds, and they usually reflect what I'm interested in.

Whoever that photographer was, his little gray cells were working overtime. It is a marvelous abstract.

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

"Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-3

A pencil sketch, and pretty good. Do you really need all those Icons? Why not drop the ones you don't use every day into a folder?

Ho, Alejandro. Do I see you like your icons on the top of the screen? That's a Linux habit.

Here is mine. Sauske is my favorite character in Naruto:

Also, here's something that's awesome to see, a thunderstorm in all its glory:

I keep my desktop as clean as possible. There's really not much that needs to be there, and all the clutter can really subtract from the image.

Figured it was time to upgrade to 11.10 though I think Unity still has a way to go before I'll really enjoy it out of the box.

^ Well, I found when I was on windows the server software was often more bullet proof, but I only ran it if I was multiplexing machines. Do you really need all that overhead? What machine(s) are you running?

Dual displays, optimal for my line of work/academics (Architecture). Desktop is of Jaffa, Israel, which was part of my Fall 2011 Architecture program studio. Taken with my Nikon D3000, once again. I need to get an app that allows me to have two desktops, or one big one. Don't care much for plugins tho.

^ Not bad at all. Did I read three graphics cards? Wow. Are you running three monitors?

Your new server sounds like a real beaut. I am running a system that just fills my bill of playing with multiple operating systems. The Linux hardware list is here. Linux really talks to you if you ask it right. I don't think all my HDDs show, however because they are on USB2 channels. Internal is SATA connected ATA 500GB drive. The USB2's are a Samsung 1 TB, and a Maxstor 300GB drive (off-line at the moment). Some partitions are also off line, so total accessible disk at the moment is 1.1 TB of which only 92.2 GB are in use at the moment. One of the partitions on the SATA drive is off-line because it contains a different O/S image. This one is currently running Linux Mint 11. The other one is LM12, but it is sick, and I need to reload it.

This system is about 18 months old, and does what I need. I won't upgrade unless something dies. I did upgrade this year to a 16:9 monitor so that I could play HD movies.
