took an hour to draw all of these famous faces,

but i think it was worth it! :D

57167684.jpg

parts of the faces at the bottom were cut off, but luckily the only face

cut off was the "sweet jesus" face, or in my comic, "soo many diamond blocks" face.

I'm writing a trilogy.

I made my desktop a slideshow of various Anno 2070 wallpapers, including 3 cropped versions of the previous one and one resized.

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

If you were an octogenarian equivalent cat, you'd probably look pretty stern too. She probably has arthritis and hurts all the time. What does the vet say about that?

It's been a long time since we took her to the vet. The last problem I remember having with her was years ago, and it was extremely minor. She's basically outlived every single pet in our family, which is sort of a big deal since they all came into our lives after her.

She's had this disposition for the longest time, as most cats do; she'll either be really grouchy or really sweet (the latter is coincidentally around feeding time, usually :P). She's below my computer desk now as I'm typing, and is purring softly.

Cats purr even when they are dying. If she hasn't been to the vet this year, what about annual shots?

Can't remember the last time she had those either. I really don't want you to worry about her though; I'm not getting mad or defensive and I really appreciate your concern, but she seems perfectly healthy to me, at least for her age. I will bring up a visit to the vet with the rest of the family, though. :)

^ Just so you know, I had pets for years before I moved into this small place. Because most of them were dogs and they exercised outside, I took all my animals to a vet annually. Inside cats can be a moot point provided they are not exposed to things like Feline leukemia, etc.

Well then, I suppose it's worth mentioning that she is kept inside; by her own choice (she was never an outdoor cat, and has been with us for four residencies, two of which had a fenced backyard).

Well, it relieves my lump of animal welfare to know that. Give her a nice pet for me, she looks like a superb pussy cat.

I certainly will my good man, and she definitely is.

Back on topic here a bit, I found this image...too awesome to not share with you all haha. My next desktop update might be in a Linux decor (if so, most likely Ubuntu).

Well, Yoshi, I see you have at least loaded up Ubuntu 11.10. I switched to Linux Mint 11 because I didn't like the unity desktop, which is also optional on LM12. If you've never seen the traditional Gnome2 desktop you won't miss it. Frankly, I found this one too much Dick and Jane.

How would Batman ever have gotten his hands on a light saber?

I am in love with the Unity desktop. It sorta combines the Mac launcher with the classic desktop, which I am in love with.

The main reason I love it?

It's different from other OSs. It's a new design, which hasn't been introduced in a LONG time (Windows 7 was just a redesign of the Windows 95 taskbar in my opinion, which a few extra memory hogging features). I think it's the basic desktop with a launchbar modified from the Mac launchbar, which I think is perfect.

As I say...out with the old, in with the new.

Eeeh, well doc, to each his own. When I logged on tonight I picked up LM12 (Lisa) which has a choice of four desktops all based on the Gnome 3 one you like but with some twists. I am on the one called enhanced classic because the full Lisa Gnome desktop has some problems with my machine (GPU driver, I suspect), and the MATE one which is to become the best of both worlds is still a little buggy and needs to grow up into a real carriage.

Watch out for the little baldy with the blunderbuss.

Yeah, but I didn't think he'd have a time machine that could go to a galaxy far far away, long long ago.

Linux Mint 12; working under Gnome-Shell, MGSE:

pantallazodel2011122423.png

Looking in the net I've founded many manuals, tips and tutorials to improve Gnome 3. And it is great, suitable for my netbook, I'm looking for installing to my desktop computer, but I don't know if it support the OS (Pentium IV, 2.4 GHz, 1.5 GB Ram).
