Cypress Bay...

This is my new CJ that is based in an area called Cypress Bay, although it also includes a huge forested and hilly area...

Regiontitle.jpg

The entire region is covered in pine forests, there are some quite large hills that run across that middle of the plains. The bay area provides a great place for sims to live and also for industry to thrive!

CURRENT NEIGHBOURHOODS...

  • Bellemont
  • Greensborough
  • Ocean Point
  • Columbia
  • Moore, Montana
  • Hines, Oregon
  • Summer Beach
  • Silver Bay

  • Kings Wood
  • Astoria Beach
  • Fulwood
  • Spring Meadows
You will be able to see these places in my first full update!

I will also be re-creating some of America's unheard of small towns, I mean very small towns hidden away that not many people know about, except those that live there, and those with Google Maps lol. That will come later on...

Here is the region I have used, If you ever decided you want it...

SanDiego.jpg

It uses a standard size Config, I have edited it so its in all medium size!

Looks very sunny, and that bay is quite the natural wonder. Can't wait to see how your sims decide to live there.

I'm the 'A' to the 'r', to the c-h-e-a-n,
and even though my name means 'old' I'm really quite pimp,
I'm Archilicious.

    FIRST UPDATE!

Columbia, Bellemont, Ocean Point & Greensborough!

These are the three areas of Downtown location on Cypress Island...

    Bellemont:

The old inner harbor. It has since be turned away from its industrial past, and now is a rather nice place for sims to wonder around in when they go shopping!

    Bellemont1.jpg

Riverside Park is a recent addition to the area. The old scrubby grass land by the river has been improved!

    Bellemont2.jpg

On the north western side of Cypress Island, in Bellemont are some mid wealth residential towers...

    Bellemont3.jpg

    Columbia...

Capitol Park is where most of the government buildings are located in Columbia, as this was the first part of the city to be built!

    columbia1.jpg

Springwood Marsh is left over from when Cypress Bay was uninhabited...

    columbia2.jpg

On the north eastern side of Cypress Island is a place where many wealthy sims live as it is with in easy access to Downtown...

    columbia3.jpg

    Greensborough...

Greensborough Ferry is one of the most used ferry ports on the south side of Cypress Island...

    greensborough1-1.jpg

Downtown Greensborough, is the center of commerce in the area...

    greensborough2-1.jpg

17th Street Ferry is another of Greensborough's many ferry terminals...

    greensborough3-1.jpg

    Ocean Point...

This is a mainly commercial part of Cypress Island. Many large corporations have come here to take advantage of the high spec office space!

    oceanpoint.jpg

With commerce brings people who want to work...

    oceanpoint2.jpg

And with that, comes stressed out sims! Here they can go on a scenic drive around the Ocean Point...

    oceanpoint3.jpg

    More to come soon!!!

Your city looks nice. I really like what you've done with the waterfront, especially with the Government buildings.

    UPDATE:

    1st USA small town...

    Moore, Montana...

Moore is a town in Fergus County, Montana, United States. The population was 186 at the 2000 census. (Wikipedia)

    moore2.jpg

    moore3.jpg

    Hines, Oregon

A community named Herrick was formed just southwest of Burns when railroad promoter and sawmill operator Fred Herrick founded a lumber company there. Edward Hines bought the railroad and lumber company from Mr. Herrick in 1928, and a post office named Hines was established in 1931 to serve the mill and surrounding community. The mill has since changed hands at least two more times.

    REPLIES...

Teeparex: Hey, yeah I know...when I uploaded them I forgot to change the size! oops

selles: Thanx, I like doing nice little park areas by the water!

jacqulina: Hey thanx for your comments

io_bg:Hello, yeah EVERYONE tells me that! lol, I actually prefer the original water, as it looks nice and bright and clean!

fabsies55: Hello, yeah the road layout is a bit repetitive, but that how I build my Downtown areas, on more of a grid based layout...what do you mean by "recreation"? is there not enough?

Nicely done there, you should try my hometown, a Hamlet of about 3000 people in Massachusetts.

additionally, I have found that the street addon mod (SAM V3) is great for creating those perfect little side streets and rural farming roads, you could probably do a lot better with them than I could.

It'd be neat to see Bainbridge, Ohio, where I used to live. It's a two-stoplight town, haha!
