Cool, that media park really breaks the grid! Stands out very well.
-
Another amazing downtown selles! I enjoyed all the pics and descriptions, great update.

Replies Victor Valdes- Thanks very much Victor Solidseal- Well, some of the parks don't take that long to make, as long as you have a rough idea of what you want it to look like. Thanks for your comment!Greekman- Wow, I'm really glad you find it stunning! Thanks a lot usfwoody- Thanks! I'm pretty sure you need the NAM (Network Addon Mod) for angled streets and cul de sacs, and the mod for the trees on the streets is herekelistmac- Thanks!TmiguelT- Really? Thanks so much N106- Thank you very much buildsolid- Cheers!selles- Thanks, it does take considerably more time to make modern sprawl than inner city grids! The parking lots you are inquiring about are found here!ironicepitome- Thanks very much!aiumkastarkius- Thank you game40k- Thanks so much! Welcome to Simtropolis as well. Although I won't upload the map because you can't upload regions with cities, plus without Parkopolis it's not a very interesting region anyway! Update 15- More semi-rural areas Thought it was about time for another update so here it is! This update will show some of the areas just north of the ones shown in the last update. Thanks for viewing everybody!

I like the scenery alot, looks a nice li'l town. Great houses as well! I noticed with the wind generators that some trees look perilously close to the rotors! Great work so far.
-
Great start aaglo! All very nicely laid out and the region is stunning. I did notice that the lots seem to be missing details like driveways etc. Have you got all your graphics settings at max? Also I don't know of any mods or tricks which can boost your agriculture demand unfortunately...you might have to get ploppable fields. Looking forward to more though!

My first CJ ever.......please take a look and give me some advice!
Teeparex replied to JamBritain's topic in SC4 City Journals
Not too bad for a first CJ, a good tool you could use for some inspiration is Google maps or you could download Googe Earth, and have a look at some real cities. Plus it always helps to have literally hundreds of different custom content! You should attack building repetition as much as possible for great eye candy. You've picked out some nice 'scrapers though! -
Hey, this a really great start!! The downtown looks beautiful, lots of trees and great buildings. Looking forward to more!

The last couple of updates are fantastic! You've really created an amazing looking place, the buildings and the lots are all great choices. Wonderful work!

Replies TmiguelT- Thanks very much! Your lakes would probably win though.Twenty20- Thank you!John Kirby- Thanks, the suburbs do take quite a while to build once they become more random.mancoolman- Glad you like the parks selles- Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the terrain texture I'm using a the moment. Thanks for the great comment anyway!Jacqulina- Thanks Hawkeye9- Hey thanks a lot for adding me to your signature! I've noticed Parkopolis is on quite a few siggys now.Muck308- Thanks very much! jonpaulosiglos- Thanks for your reply!SC4Poser-moser- Thanks!aiumkastarkius- Thanks a lot, glad you like the 'burbs.Update 14- The outskirts of Parkopolis It's been quite a while since the last update! Among other things I have been experimenting with making ploppable suburbs using ilive reader and lot editor, with some success, kinda for the hell of it! They won't be taking over Parkopolis though. (No residents) Anyway, this update will show the outskirts of the city to the west and some of the first rural areas to be created in this region...

I like what you've done so far, it all looks wonderful. I like what you've done with the farms especially.
-
Wow, every update is unbelievably realistic...I wish I knew how to make some of those lots, like the Northpark Acre houses, they look perfect!
-
Interesting start, hopefully the Eisels won't die before the next update! Looking forward to more of this.
-
I would say keep the city, definitely!! It looks spectacular. I'd like to ask though, where you got those big trees for the last pic with the beach? They look quite realistic...

Oceanport- Where the Cool People want to Live!
Teeparex replied to ironicepitome's topic in SC4 City Journals
Hey, that is a nice city! The port area looks very impressive, as well as that downtown. I would like to say, however, that there are a lot of areas of just pavement and concrete that look a bit bland. Maybe you could find (or if you have the Lot Editor, make) some lots with trees and plants, anything that will liven them up a bit more! But nevertheless I am looking forward to more updates :-) -
Replies Victor Valdes- Thanks for the reply! SC4Poser-moser- Thank you aiumkastarkius- There is a region view on the previous page, not much of the city has changed since that pic. Thanks for the comment!TmiguelT- Thanks very much! GreekMan- Thanks, glad you like the suburbs.De Ja Vu- Thanks for your comments dejavujmontsimcity- Thanks selles- Thanks again selles for another positive comment Martin892- Thanks for the suggestion, I'll think about it. Hawkeye9- Thanks very much, glad you like the updateMCO1254- Wait...what? *Counts the holes* Well you'll just have to count the holes around the lake as one hole, otherwise...I have probably made loads of 10 and 19 hole courses!068664663- Hehe, thanks.packersfan- That's good to hear, thanks very much!ironicepitome- Lol, well thanks for noticing my CJ anyway!
