NE over Tampa Bay-I'm going to jump on the "new england-old england" pun bandwagon.

Sixburg hands Mini Soda it's first loss.

Houston over San Fran-Shady, i must say that is the strangest abbreviation i've ever seen. HST for Houston haha.

Indy 500-0 over St Louis.

San Diego over KC-San Diego might get sold and move to LA 9.gif

Green Bay over Cleveland-two reasons that cleveland will lose a) half their team has swine, b) its cleveland.

J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS over the land of oaks.

Cinci over Chi-town.

Atlanta over Cowgirls

Carolina over Buffalo? (??????)

Miami upset special over New Orleans, because otherwise this week would be boring. Wildcat baby.

NYG over Arizona-Its tempting to pick arizona [vulnerable new york secondary] but i don't expect the giants to drop 2 in a row.

Philly over Washington

Lol, actually I copied and pasted it from Blade's post earlier this week, and if you look at my picks last week I actually put "HST @ CIN  ? " Notice the question mark, I put that there because I couldn't figure out which team the HST stood for.  Lol 3.gif

Speaking of Houston, maybe this is the week that I pick their game right...probably not...

Son-of-a-gun. Already looks like I will be 0-7 on the Texans, they are looking really good against the the 49ers, or more precisely the 49ers are looking really bad against the Texans (-5 yards in the first quarter for them)

Well, Carolina lost. How sad.........I was at the game. Buffalo has the worst rush defense, and guess what? We pass 70% of the time. You know what happens when we pass 70% of the time? Jake Dellhomme throws 3 INTs!!! The coaching strategy makes no sense whatsoever.

    9 so far

Still 3 undefeated teams although NO realy realy tried to lose this early on.

and 32.gif to Brees for being 2 yards short of the 300+ yards bonus on my fantasy team.

The NY Football Giants not so good?

    24-17 loss to the cards

Standings through 10/26, Monday Night Philly vs. Washington still to be played

    Easy Bakes 9-3

    Sim Shady 8-4

Kryptowhite 8-4 (lol way to choke with the last couple of picks Nostradamus)

    Blade2k5 8-4

    Greekman 8-4

I guess we all had a solid week picking with 2-1 ratios. Looks like everybody got tripped up by the Carolina Panthers who are clearly being killed by quarterback play. Have you ever seen a quarterback decline so precipitiously as Jake Delhome? Also, we all pretty much missed the Giants Arizona game which had pretty significant implications in the early playoff race, letting the Cardinals step far out in the front of the pack in the NFC West race, while the Giants fell back into the muck with their second consecutive loss after being undefeated.

0-7 on the Texans for the year, but next week I WILL get them right. They WILL beat the Bills...maybe...I hope...maybe not....lol

I'll be back later on to tally things up.  I also have a fair solution on how to resolve the missed picks and posting weekly picks after the deadline has passed.19.gif

Oh sorry about missing JollyBobber! 1:30 in the morning isn't the best time to be tallying up picks lol.

So something big is going on down at the Cowboys ranch. 4:00 pm today they are going to have some big press conference on a player personel move; the most likely suspect is that they are going to anounce a contract extension for Demarcus Ware that will probably make him the highest paid defensive player in NFL history. He has 4 sacks and and 2-3 forced fumbles in the past two games, and 20 sacks and 7 forced fumbles last year.

Missed Picks: [not picking all games during the week...it happens...3x times actually3.gif]

This phenomenon kinda throws a monkey wrench into a well oiled machine...my idea for a solution is this: If you 'forget'46.gif to make a pick, it would be considered a loss.  Seems kinda harsh at first, but then you could just not make that 'oops' before posting.44.gif

Picks posted after deadline: [mix-up on time zones may be the issue19.gif]

Last week, Krypto and Jolly missed the deadline and their picks were not counted.  This week GreekMan was late, but that may be because of the Timezone issue.  Deadline is 12am Sat EST, 11pm Fri CST, 10pm Fri MST and Fri 9pm PST.  I'm thinking along the lines of what SimShady echoed a few days ago and think that allowing those picks being allowed.  So that shakes things up a bit in the overall standings as you will see here in a moment.

    Here was Krypto's late picks:

Redskins over Chiefs in the native american bowl.

Carolina over Tampa "hey, at least we get a free trip to london" Buccaneers.

New York Football Giants over New Orleans Saints [hardest game to pick this week?]

    Houston over cincinatti.

    Pittsburg big over Cleveland

Minnesota over Baltimore [baltimore would be a fun pick though]

Green Bay over Detroit [at this point i just feel bad for the city]

Philly over Oakland...how difficult was this one...

    New England over 0-10esee

J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS over Bills.

    Arizona over Seattle.

    ATL over Chi-town

    San Diego over Denverquote>

^As you can see, Krypto also forgot the Jacksonville game, so he went 8-6 that week, making him 61-29  thru Week #6.

    Here was Jolly's late pics:

    KC @ WASH

    CAR @ TB

    NY-G @ NO

    STL @ JACK

    HOU@ CIN

    CLE @ PIT

    BAL @ MIN

    DET @ GB

    PHI @ OAK

    TEN @ NE

    BUF @ NY-J

    ARZ @ SEA

    Sunday Night

    CHI @ ATL

    Monday Night

    DEN @ SDquote>

^ Jolly had a pretty damn good week going 10-4 and improving his overall standings to 19-9 thru Week #6.

Now on to this Week #7 thru Sunday:

    1. EasyBakes  9-3

    2. JollyBobber  9-3

    3. blade2k5      8-4

    4. Kryptowhite  8-4

    5. SimShady    8-4

    6. GreekMan    6-6

Lol Row Williams sucks, but I was right, Demarcus Ware recieves ludacris big contract that somehow the experts are calling a good deal. paying $80 million for someone to play football for 6 years seems like a rippoff to me. But with regards to the absurd economic climate of waste and excess in the NFL, his contract is considered team friendly...

I think that I agree with everything Blade listed in his post, sounds very reasonable to me.

The only thing I have to say about week 7 that pleased me more than anything else...well, except for the Packers whooping Cleveland...was Favre laying two rotten eggs yesterday and stinking up the football field as the SB Champs made Chumps out of the Vikings.  When Favre screws up, he really screws up.18.gif

Lets see and make sure I did my math right:  You picked NE, MIN, SF, IND, SD, GB, NY-J, CHI, ATL, CAR, NO, @ NY-G.  Those you picked who won their games yesterday were NE, IND, SD, GB, NY-J @ NO.19.gif

I'm glad you think that because in the process I dropped into a tie for second place on the overall standings with you, both of us trailing Krypto by one.47.gif  So I'm sure he won't have any problems with the solution I put forth.20.gif

Your right blade, i will have no problems haha 3.gif

This presents a new problem though, because now i am going to feel pressured to protect that small lead 3.gif

To get a head start on next week:

Baltimoar over Denver-best to call for upset when shady does, even if he can't read houston.

Indy over San Fran-part of me wants to pick san fran for no reason other than i hate indy.

Philly over NYG-Deshaun Jackson...if you didn't get hurt at halftime, i wouldn't be 1-6 in fantasy.

Detroit over St Louis-heres a rare sight: The lions are the safe pick.

    Dallas over Seattle

    Cinconatti over Cleveland

    Houston over Buffalo

    Jets over Dolphins

Green Bay over Minnesota-Lambeau...minny took the first...coming off a tough loss...here comes another one.

    Air-izona over Carolina

    San Diego over Oakland.

    Tennessee over Jacksonville?

    Monday Night:

ATL over New Orleans. I'm sick of those punks.

    Extra Credit:

    New England over Bye Week.

My sophmore class over the juniors in Powderpuff tonight.

Lol your powder puff games are in the fall? Mine were in the spring. Also they were between the juniors and seniors. Theres nothing like a bounty of hot girls workin up a sweat together...Good times 4.gif

Totally unrelated to football but, there are a bunch of annoying tykes and toddlers rampaging around my dorm tonight in some halloween related event...Nope, I am not a little-obnoxious-kids person. I am, however, a dog person and a hot-girl person. And a football person. 3.gif

Unfortunately Krypto, theres been a mistake in the standings which I just discovered a little while ago after going through the weekly picks/standings.  Turns out that in Week #1 you were listed at going 14-2 that week, whereas you actually went 13-3.

These were your picks for Week #1:

    Pitt @ Tenn  Thurs

    Oak @ SD

    Atl @ Miami

    Balt @ KC

    Clev @ Min

    Indy @ Jack

    NO @ Det

    TB @ Dal

    Arz @ SF

    NY-G @ Wash

    Sea @ STL

    GB @ Chi

    NE @ Buff  Mon

    Car @ Phil

    CIn @ Den

    Hou @ NY Jets

The red highlighted picks are those you guessed wrong.  So Week #1s tally would have looked like this:

    1. Sim Shady   15-1

    2. blade2k5     13-3

    3. Kryptowhite 13-3

    4. Easybakes  12-4

In closing, that makes you 69-34 for the season and not 70-33, which means you dropped into a 3-way tie with Sim Shady and yours truly9.gif  I hope that didn't add more pressure on ya3.gif

    Fixed overall Standings:

    1. blade2k5       69-34

    1. Kryptowhite   69-34

    1. SimShady     69-34

    4. EasyBakes   63-40

    5. GreekMan     37-34

    6. JollyBobber  29-12
