As before, you are able to add wonderful detail in all areas. One thing that I see are those road pieces you use around your commercial and industrial lots (what are they if I may ask), as well as the trucks and other vehicles that look as though you might have plopped them. Very enjoyable all around!!

Tomasneto - Thank you very much!

rewright - Hi Dick, thanks for your comment. Yes, I use ploppable pieces for my parking lots and my industrial areas. It's a large modular collection of things that can easely enhance my lots.

    art128 - Thanks!

    super_monkey - Thanks, I'm sure you could!

So, I'm not sure to make an update this week, but, nevertheless, I want to thanks everyone who visit and/or post comments here in my CJ!

    Cheers all!

    David

After a small break in Germany by my family, I'm back for the last update about South Dubuque area. I'm working on Dubuque carefully, doing and testing new lots with more acurate homes for my suburbs!

I've finished a city this last weekend (I was working on it since three weeks) and I took some pictures, ready to be uploaded on Imageshack and posted here in the forum...

This last update is about the junction of Cedar Rd, Ontario Ave and Locust Ave, which is a large commercial area, with the South Dubuque Mall, some motels and residences. Here we go!

Closer view of this 98.000 sq meter mall. It's the fourth biggest mall in ther metro area. Largest is the Galena Complex Mall, near the I-129, in Galena, IA.

Cheers and thank you for visiting!

    Hi David

This is the post I've made to help Jacky (Jacqulina) with the same problem as you'll see the solution is quite simple... a bit more work but doable nonetheless

    Hope this will help you.

    -John

    QUOTE....

here's what I do to post now...

Dirk explained it in the Simtrop 6 bug thread

We now have to use the img src tag instead of the IMG tag see pic below

    taken from image shack

    jacky1z.jpg

You then paste it into your text editor where you prepare your post...

I simply use Notepad very easy to use...

    jacky2.jpg

Then, opening the reply window, you click ont the "Source" button in the upper right corner

    jacky3.jpg

Which will give you that kind of display

    jacky4.jpg

what you see here is part of the last update...

You then paste all your img src tags while in the "source" window...

And after you can click again on the "Source button" which will bring you back

to the regular window where you can finish/adjust your post the regular way...

You'll get use to it quite easy.

    END OF QUOTE

Here you go, had the same problem, but this workaround works perfectly...

Just tell me if you want more details.

    -John

    Now for your last update....

By the way I missed it......

Small details, I really like how you used the power lines, though I'm not sure If you can (in real life that is...) build under those lines.... I think not, for security reason.

But I must admit that it gives a certain "depth of field" to your pictures.. if you know what I mean.

    The rail yard...

Great, I'd like to see a high resolution or a mosaic of that railyard, you know that Imageshack is now accepting pictures up to 5mb in size? very useful for our big pics!

Really like the oil deposit, is that an available lot or did you LOT it yourself?

Really liked the picture with the construction site... nice touch!

    Anyhow, great work again!

    -John

Great update as always Mr. Beer! I love your CJ, it's so realistic. Everything is spread out with low density sprawl, just like the typical North American city.

Wow! The urban part of South Dubuque is so Chicago-ish! Great work!

By the way, did you take the Berwick BAT into Lot Editor or is there some model of the lot I don't know of?

These are some wonderful small towns, even without skyscrapers and boardwalks, this still amazes me and I'm enjoying it. Great work here, really great.

Great looking midwestern city. I love the landscapes and the mix between rural, suburban, and industrial areas, and the railroad with some engines sitting on some industrial sidings.
