I only add journals if theres an absolute request like,"please do my journal_____" IF you just give permission, i won't add it to try and save space.

yea im wondering about that two. i'll have to pm some ppl.

    Really great work here guys...

I wouldn't mind a review of Unifire... if you're interested

Also: Could someone change the sub title of this thread every time a new review has been posted? So we can search through the CJ forums and see which CJ is being reviewed?

Just curious what the other critics have been up to...7 on the list, but only 3 reviewers so far...none of the other 4 have even posted in here - they do know this thread exists, right?

Same with Zabitake, my post is several posts past SA's on page 2.

I like what is being done here, I'm glad to see that the reviews are fair and balanced. A good result so far and this has potential.

But I would strongly advise that you cut out the requests completely. Don't allow anyone to request a review, only reviewers choosing the CJs themselves. Because so far this thread has been filled with requests for reviews and its kinda too much. Let the reviewer choose and keep this thread for reviews and comments on those reviews only. That is what I would suggest to secure a positive future for this thread.

    Well done.

Rhodesia Newydd Dinas/ City Of New Rhodesia

    By: 6underground

The cj New Rhodesia, the first and only Welsh cj on Simtropolis, is without a doubt one of the most accomplished cj's on the site. From being a respected member of the SCJU (Sim City Journal Union To see New Rhodesia's SCJU site click here), to hosting the SCJU summit, the SCJU Headquarters, and even hosting the first ever Simlympic games, New Rhodesia has done it all. 6underground has created a very realistic, sci-fi region, that contrasts with what many people are looking for in a cj, combining good stories with great updates and pics. In short, this cj has it all.

This cj has had a long tenure in the forums, starting in 2004. 6underground entertains his readers with very good updates, many of them starting with his Regional newspaper, The New Rhodesian Excalibur. This gives his readers a different look at New Rhodesian life, bringing them back for more. But, don't expect to find big skyscrapers, crazy intersections, and busy streets. This cj is a somewhat small one, but, what this region lacks in size, it regains in quality. 6u is a skilled batter. He uses a lot, if not all, of his BATs in his cities, and all of them serve a good purpose. New Rhodesia/ Newydd Dinas is an awesome cj and by far, one of the best on the site. Great job 6u!

Hey, guys, I've been watching this since the very, very start - and I have to say, I am impressed. I was skeptical at first, and I am very glad you have proven me wrong.

Every review has been not only very fair and very comprehensive, but very well written.

Great job, guys. I hope to be lurking in this thread for a long, long time.

    Nyhaven: An Engineers veiw.

    by Woodb3kmaster

Welcome to Nyhaven: An Engineer's View, a journal by long time simtropolian woodb3kmaster. This one going on two month old journal is a plot driven journal based on a civil engineer working to improve the subway/metro in the city. The story is very realistic and alot of times i found myself thinking,"wow thats exactly what i do". Like in this sentence," As the plane grew closer to the ground, I kept looking through my window, keeping up with the action as it unfolded. The Cities themselves can sometimes be griddy, but they feature a diverse group of buildings, as i rarely found the same building twice.

In update 1, where the man lands in nyhaven, woodb3kmaster does a phenominal job of making the best of his enourmous custom airport, catching the airport from numerous angles, but making sure the reader never saw the same section of the airport twice. woodb3kmaster uses the NAM to the best of its ability, with the outcome being a realistic looking transit system, however griddy it may be. how ever i was confused as many roads seemed to just dissapear. The shores of the city are pretty empty, and shoreline lovers would not be please. however most readers will just shrug that off and move on to the lovely ariels provided by woodb3kmaster

Moving forward into the journal, woodb3kmaster gives some closeups, which apart from the airport, were absent in update 1. He provides excellent maps and starts to decorate the shorline, making my comment on the bareness false. As you read on you will continue to see many of your favorite STEX buildings but notice the lack of customization. the trees, which can make a big difference in the total atmosphere of a journal, are the basic maxis ones. However this journal has its own water, and i couldn't tell if there was a terrain mod or not. However, starting with the bid for the simlympics update, i saw an improvment each update from woodb3kmaster and i can't think of anything that could stop him. I definetely will come back for more!

I've read the reviews and checked out the CJ's... this is nice! I like the idea of having critics to judge where the CJ is going. so. can my CJ be reviewed?

    Atlantica-Jan.png

    Atlantica

    by: crushedcar

Atlantica is a fairly new cj by crushedcar. It is a sci-fi cj about the president of Atlantica, a futuristic country on the planet of 932B. He also acts as mayor of the city of Atlantis, and looks back about 50 years before that in his first post. His second post is where the real story begins. It starts with the story of a bomb threat in Atlantis. The terrorists ask for billions of dollars in return for the safety of the city. From there, I will not go. To read the full story go to his cj here.

crushedcar's playing style is very cheaty. He uses many modds and many Japanese BATs, enhancing the look of his city very much. His Downtowns seem ploped, and his presentation average, but, if your looking for a great story, (24 meets the West Wing, meets Starwars) you need to look no where else but here. Great job so far crushedcar. I will be keeping up with your cj.4.gif

Yeah, I'm happy to clean this thread out, and attempt to keep it clean. But first you need to put the organisation effort in, start by making it clear exactly who to PM (maybe one person would be best but thats your choice) and make the main focus of the first post on people reading reviews. I think this thread can only be successful if you make sure people understand how to request and what the exact purpose of this thread is. Keep the focus on reading and commenting on reviews. I will start cleaning if you give the green light.

I think you need to make it clear where the PMs should go in the very beginning of this thread, and perhaps at the top of every page. Choco or I could clean out this thread for you, but I think you will still get comments on the reviews besides just the requests for reviews. It is hard to keep a thread like this totally clean.

Great job with the reviews guys!

However, its starting to get very cluttered, I suggest moving the requests to a seperate thread.
