    Replies Ep.1A

ilikehotdogsalot - I never said the town was low income, I only said the hotel was for hotel was for low income people, meaning it was cheap

    BANDITp61 - Ummm....They not available for download, they're made of a paper.....

blue sinjid - thank you...I was actually going to make a city from the buildings, and It's then still a CJ.

spore415 - No houses yet 2.gif But I don't see how It's all that funny....

Archean - Neither. It's nothing to report nor to laugh about. I'm making a Town from theese buildings, so It is still a CJ. I've never read anything about a City have to be made from SC4 to be in a Journal.

    Pooty - I'm glad....

lol Pooty. Although, this section is for SC4 / SCS journals. I think this can stay, just in the very General Off-Topic section.

But anyway the colouring could be better. Nice work!

I once made something like this from some computer program that had pre-made print designs on it. Not from scratch, though, like you. And now that others are mentioning it, you might want to color the models a bit better, but the shapes are cool!

At first, I thought, "this guy has to much time on his hands", but then, I realized, that we all do. Look at some of the endless hours we have put into the simcity franchise over the years.

So I have to admit, the paper city concept seems pretty cool. All we need is some paper streets, people, roads and sidewalks. I notice it's situated on what looks like a picnic table.

Could make for an interesting Christmas display at home.

I used to make stuff like this when I was a kid, way back before everyone had a computer to play simulation games on.

Despite the naysayers, I think this is great, a unique perspective of a CJ. The only suggestion would be to work on your coloring.

Have you ever thought of using model railroad buildings (HO or N are good scales)? One can create some cool towns and great buildings by 'kitbashing,' and making your own buildings with the kits.

Wow, I never expected such a turn out...

    Beachfront Ep. 2

    Replies Ep. 1B

un1 - I still say, nowhere in the rules does it say SCS and SC4 journals. So It is a city journal, despite naysayers..

glenni - Thanks, I try but my set of crayons is seroiusly old

wishfulanthony - scroll down and you will see some! 2.gif

IDS2 - thanks, I am trying to aim for top realism

ilikehotdogsalot - I suspected so, but sarcasm doesn't show up in writing.....

    Scipio - Keep watching!

IDS2 - I don't do that really (Cut out premade buildings), because I usally make it better...

andrewcocke - Yes, It's on a Picnic table in a nearby park, but I don't plan to build it there.

dfnva - nah, I don't like thos kit buildings, although I at least can use HO scale trains and cars and such.

    Ep.2

I've gotten 4 new buildings done plus a map.

    BeachfrontMap.png

This is the basic idea for The town, and the scale is about 5" per street width. And for anyone wondering, the street between 4th and 6th is 5th Street.

    WRBentonDrugStore.jpg

Built in 1922, The W.R. Benton Drug Emporium has been suplying medicine and soda to Beachfront from It's location at the corner of Front and North Main St for 33 Years, and has stayed in the Benton family the whole time.

    BeachfrontInquirer.jpg

The Beachfront Inquirer has been serving county since 1930. It is a small tabloid and it's main competition is with the Cherry County Herald. The Beachfront Inquirer office is on 4th Street.

    FlyingAGas.jpg

Flying A Gasoline is the second gas station in Beachfront, and is along Front between North and South Main.

    BixlerPackard.jpg

Bixler Packard (I don't have any model Packards) is one of 2 car dealerships in Beachfront and has ben running since 1940. It it located along 3rd Street and is between North and South Main.

I agree with those who said this is creative and unique. You should definitely keep this up. I like your planning... I think everybody has drawn maps of fictional cities once in their lives. It's kinda the essence of SC4. Btw, I love that diner.

As for constructive criticism, like some people said before, you should really work on the coloring. I like the way you used different materials, like aluminum foil, though.
