Sorry dude, but their are cities that are eight times as big as this in the CJ section. I don't remember the name, but it was a really good one too.

Yeah, large city tiles can get up to 4 or 5 million on their own, with metro areas of 10-16 million not uncommon.

Do you have the links to any of them? All I've seen in the CJ section are 1-2 million.

the_pretender90:  Its kinda choppy, but other than that I gotta say that it resembles some of the city-building concepts I use!  Nice job!

stryker1942: The largest city in my CJ, The Greater Terran Region, is currently at a residential population of over 3.2 million sims. The link is in my signature.

Enjoy!

Best,

-Haljackey

Alright guys, no-one said I was trying to have the biggest city 2.gif And besides that, it seems you're all talking about regions, because the largest here in the CJ section is from the GTR. If you're NOT talking about regions, but indeed about a single city in a single map, I'd like to see it. Simply because as a fan I like to see huge cities. Thanks to anyone who can give a link to such a city or CJ.

True, this is not the "biggest city" contest or something 3.gif

Just to be a little more clear, the largest city in the GTR is at 3.2 million.  The region itself is at just  over 16 million now, which is nothing compared to other CJs that have exceeded 100 mil in a region.

    Best,

The problem with me is that I like trees and green too much, that I dont think I would ever have enough room to expand a city to that population!! LOL!!

I don't get that large cities. My limit is now at 360,000 inhabitants (in the city of Konrad, Imaginia).

@Haljackey: 16 million inhabitants in the GTR? That's the whole population of the Netherlands! WOW!

We're currently at 16.4 million inhabitants, so the GTR needs to grow some more before it overtakes the Netherlands.

And it did 3.gif.  The GTR now stands at 16.5 million.

Dizastrow:  You still can have green in a metropolis!  It depends on how much greenspace and parks you put in your city.

The 3 mil city in GTR is so nice, amazing transportation networks, but I don't understand how the population is so high? approx 3 mil for both residential and commercial but so much space devoted to greenspace, landmarks and transport, especially very large interchanges. I would have thought 3 mil residential pop would require most, if not all jobs located elsewhere in the region, but 6 mil combined RCI occupancy seems very high considering relatively little space is devoted to zoning.

I guess what I'm getting at is, the GTR has 50% more population yet looks far less dense, with approx same amount of space used as the OP's youtube city (greenspace in GTR compares to water in op's city). My own similar looking cities (albeit not nearly as nice) come closer to 2-3 mil total occupancy (res+com), less than half of GTR. are mods being used that increase residential and commercial occupancy, or maybe ploppable buildings with high amount of residents/workers?

edit:  im calling bs on the 2 billion pop in a default region.  lol.  that is the kind of outrageous claim that requires screenshots 3.gif  unless all buildings are edited to fit 1 mil people in each house...
