Charlotte, NC is a personal favorite. I'm not biased being an NC native, but Charlotte is growing by leaps and bounds these days.

Charlotte, NC is small. The pictures of the skyline look big but uptown Charlotte is only about 6 blocks long and 9 blocks wide.

Yeah, Toronto all the way!

Just the way that the buildings line up.

And you havent seen the true skyline before you see it from the east or west. Instead of that standard generic skyline from the lake that seems to be so popular.

TORONTO!

And I agree with the patriots, cities like H.K are just buildings. No shape.

I do like Charlotte, NC though. Never been, but it looks nice. Not to big, not to small.

BUT MY NUMBER ONE IS GOOD OL' T.O!

I've been to Charlotte It's small. Too small in fact. I like Atlanta personally because they have a skyline in uptown, downtown, and midtown, But m favorite is New York because of lower Manhattan and midtown.

Hon Kong for me.

New York is to spread out (almost to the point of having two downtowns),Tokyo is way to drab, and Shangi is too big.

Chicago is second on my list, but I like HK better cause of the archetecture.

what do you mean by "New York is to spread out (almost to the point of having two downtowns)" just to let you know New York does have a uptown, a midtown, a uptown(that doesn't really have skyscrapers) a downtown Manhattan, a downtown Brooklyn, and Long Island City.

Nice pictures westy177.  I personally think Chicago has the best skyline.  I even thought that before I moved here  .  My second favorite would have to be Seattle.

I guess it's hometown bias but I always though Singapore has a beautiful skyline that's sadly under-represented here.

^ I love the one skyscraper. That's like the town I live in now. It's got like one semi-tall building and that's all.

I love St. Louis at night, but it doesn't beat Chicago looking from the south on the LSD. Can't say much for cities outside of the Midwest though.

I'd like to think we have a nice one here in Houston. Not every building is an architectural masterpiece but the way they are arranged is nice. None of these pictures are mine so I assume no credit whatsoever for these.

Almost all of Houston's skylines mashed up into this one, Downtown, Uptown, Midtown/Neartown, Greenway Plaza, and Texas Medical Center. Missing Greenspoint, Memorial City, The Woodlands, The Energy Corridor/Park Ten, and Westchase areas. (from IH 610 bridge over the Port of Houston)

It's not the most beautifull skyline, but I'm proud to life in it. The skyline of Rotterdam. The 'New York of The Netherlands'. Proud of my city!

I can't choose just one, but my favorites would be (in no specific order) Seattle, Hong Kong, and Dubai. Seattle mixes pristine blue water, fields of evergreens, snow-capped mountains, and skyscrapers all so well. The Space Needle is also a big bonus. Hong Kong's skyscrapers flow nicely in the narrow divide between the mountains and sea, and it's beautiful at night. Dubai has hundreds of huge skyscrapers rising right out of the sand, and it looks very nice at sunset.

Chicago and New York, the more skyscrapers the city has the better the skyline:)

Roughly forever ago, when I was an architecture major, an architectural history professor put forward his position that there are only two true cities in the US:  New York and Chicago.  He postulated that everything else was either an overgrown town or a collection of suburbs... and that they also won by dint of having the best skylines.

Atlanta, GA. Seeing all the skyscrapers popping out of the abundant tree canopy like a pop-up book is gorgeous. There's so many trees you can't even see any of the houses. Go on google maps and you can see that Downtown, Midtown, and Buckhead look like there own cities because there's so many trees surrounding them. And the image is a monstrous 16,183 x 3,581
