linkie here

so, ain't that a surprise?

I mean, we have all these awesome technical widgets and gizmos and stuff, and like accidentally, we find such an incredibly high number of life gorillas somewhere hiding in the bushes in the middle of Congo's nowhere...

Not to mention that this boosts the number of these gorillas at about 150%...

Wonder if they should have just kept this info to themselves.

the only thing that helps me maintain my slender grip on reality is the friendship I share with my collection of singing potatoes.

^^yeah, that would have been a bright idea. Nobody knows about them, nobody can find and kill them.

This is good news. Only problem is, good news can be bad news, and no news is also usually good news. So this means both that gorillas are more better off than we thought, but now illegal hunters and such have been alerted to these new gorillas. 41.gif Well, anything could happen.

It's an area of forest that's very hard to navigate for humans. And thus, was never explored until now.

Well it's good that they live in an area untouched by humans, or one of 'em might have wound up as a rug in some Saudi sheikh's palace. 3.gif

gorillas make good rugs? I would imagine their fur is very rough and not comfy to step on.

That sucks for the gorillas, they have been evading us for so long making us think they were extinct, and then we find their hide out.... Makes me wonder how many other animals have as a specides decided to just ditch their other homes because we've been messing everything up... It's gonna be like a million Dodos in some remote cave one day.

I heard dodos were dumb birds...but I guess you can call any wild animal that doesn't run screaming from humans a dumb animal.

There is no way I could tolerate stepping on a carpet that has a 1.6% gene difference from my homo-sapien genetic make-up.

I wonder how many animals there are that humans don't know about at all. Apparently theres loads of unidentified insects inthe rainforests but wonder if there is anything more interesting??
