So I give two options:

1. Let a Swedish/Dutch company make a game console, there is much good stuff coming from there.

2. Let the console market die.quote>

Thats probably the most intelligent statement in this entire thread.....17.gif

Bah, Sim City Creator on DS is better because cities evoluate though the ages from prehistoric to future in a non-linear way... After SCS i liked SC DS 1 and now fall September we will have Sim City DS 2 (renamed Creator for Occidental Market) That's all 2.gif

Well, nice work, EA for leaving us in the dust with "destinations" or whatever and putting out your halfway decent product for Wii so that it can't be edited or modded or be really more interesting than it is when it comes out. Whatever, Wii will profit.

Look at that!  I see diagonal buildings and roads going in more than 8 directions.  Can people really do that with SimCity Creator?  If so, that's good.  As for custom content, I suppose I will continue to play good ol' SC4.18.gif

That looks so beyond unimpressive.... *yawn* I already had SC3000 why would I want it again?

Rented yesterday and it is actually ok if you want to play a SimCity game on a console. The graphics are pretty poor, the Wii just can't push especially on a HD set. Very little animation as well. Would have much rather seen the developers strip it down and just use cell graphics and animation. The Wii will never be able to do realistic graphics, I would much rather see well made cartoon graphics than poor quasi realistic graphics. The simulator engine itself really, really feels like SC3000 so it is pretty easy. The flexibility with the roads is nice, but not really useful. I do hope it does well, maybe get EA's eyes off Spore and The Sims long enough to come back to a SimCity 5. Verdict - Rent

It definitely won't be released for PC. It's SimCity for Wii, and way too similar to SimCity 3000 to be profitably sold on the PC. If I get a Wii I'll definitely buy it though.

My advice- Don't get it- IT SUCKS! the roads are hard to build, streets are only curvy it is way too touchy and the advisors are right off of the game my sims.

I must admit to that it looks good, evening if its for the consumer market. As for power users who demand more detail and realism, it does leave more to be desired, but at least it could be a good game to play nonetheless.

Lol whats going on in that picture? Looks like a war zone. 6.gif

I find it funny how after 6 years EA still can't make a game better than SC4. R.I.P "real" simcity series. 14.gif

Quote from IGN: IGN

This would have been a perfectly respectable SimCity game if the controls had been given more attention. The deep gameplay options and cool disasters are all here, but the actual creating is a hassle because the remote both places objects and scrolls the map. Why couldn't the nunchuk have been used for the map? The developers missed a good opportunity here because the Wii should be a good system for PC-like sims where the remote replaces the mouse. I like the MySims character designs and I'm all for personality, but advisors should actually provide some advice. Following last year's disappointing SimCity DS, it looks like Electronic Arts might be losing its way with this franchise.quote>

If this game was released as SC3000 back in the day, then it would be awesome. However i am under the impression that some games aren't meant to go true 3D, i like the isometric view of the current SC4 game. One more thing... curing roads are okay as long as the buildings can conform to the curves as well.

Nonetheless, no one can really say how it feels and plays until one tries it.

Completely horrible idea. Why on the Wii? These type of games are best suited on computers, with a mouse and keyboard. And I agree with elemented9, it looks like Russia launched a nuke into a modern Aztec village. Ridiculous.

They need to bring the Maxis team back and let them make SimCity 5 with only money from EA and nothing else. Maxis made the greatest and funnest games I've ever seen.
