At least it was until the upcoming Corvette ZR1's 7:26.4

Not that I would ever turn my nose up at the Ferrari-like capabilities of the awesomely incredible GTR, but, damn:

Hey sorry the car that I posted at the start is what I want my first car to be, it is a Peugeot 107, a french car. It may not look a $1,000,000 dollars but it is cheap and does 68mpg, considering 1 gallon of petrol in the UK is $11 it is a handy car to have, without looking like a smart car! no offence but I dont like them and the Peugeot is more fuel efficient anyway so HA! lol .. car of my dreams though....

My favorite car right now... the Lexus IS F!  It's been my avatar for quite some time now, as well. 9.gif

    Image:Lexus IS F 02.JPG

Second favorite, the Ford Mustang.  Either the GT or the Shelby GT500 (pictured).

    Image:GT500 quarter.jpg

Third, the Audi R8.  Awesome car, but most expensive of the three.

    Image:Audi R8-09.jpg

Of course, most of these all are dream cars... with the Lexus starting at $56,000, the GT500 in the $40,000 range and the R8 over 100 grand.  The only one that I could see myself owning sometime in the future is the Mustang GT. 4.gif

Smart four two please! I like them but i prefer an old golf, for a first car of course! I think the R32(Not a skyline) is sweet but i'd rather save and buy a GTI when i have the 40 or so thousand dollars.

Or what about the Clio v6?, hot hatch with a v6!

The car I that I really want has been well thought out. It's the BMW M3, BMW M3 2006 I really wanted the model from 2006, just before the design change. I also want it to be new, but now I'm trying to start a business which requires money, so it had to go back on the wish list.

I like me some good old fashioned muscle, back from the days when most american cars weren't "modern" (a.k.a. gas guzzling boxes).

    f_musclecarsom_e94cd43.jpg

In my opinion I don't like most american cars today because they look like cookie-cutter cars, they're ineffecient fuel-wise, and they're trying to put everything possible in them. Whatever happened to sleek curves? Too "old"? If you look at cars from other countries like europe and asia most of them are very slick and sexy looking. Asian cars (especially japanese) are very edgy and curvy in appearance (one example could be that GT-R above). As for putting everything in them, I don't see why a car needs a 30GB hard drive, a computer on that dash board that does almost anything a  PC can do, 14 cupholders, 6 TV screens, etc. etc. etc. major overkill.

TV-VCR: if you don't like these cars, just leave them alone.

If these people can afford to pay for their gas, fine.

What do you mean by "these cars"? Do you mean the ones in this thread? So far I like all of the cars that have been posted. If you mean in general, I can voice my opinion if I want to. I'm quite sure you have an opinion too. Remember, I said MOST, not ALL.. Cars like the Corvette ZR1 and newer Mustang look great. They're fast and powerful cars that have a fast and powerful look. 9.gif

The main irritant has been mostly cars from companies like Ford and GM (and subsidiaries). They all have that "modern" look (boxy in areas, tons of edges, very few curves). Just an example, look at what happened to the F-150.

Keep in mind I am anything but devoted to "hating them to death and hating the designs and such like they're the worst things to ever be made and they came from the depths of hell etc" as it's just a nitpick.

May it be noted that last month's issue of C/D rated the BMW M3 above the new Nissan GT-R and the Porsche 911 Turbo. 2.gif

Yes the BMW 850 is a beautiful car, but no longer made. I had a chance at picking one up at the dealer, but they wanted to much, and it was red. My favorite color, but unless its a real small under-powered car I don't need the extra attentention.
