I'm as surprised as you guys! My vacuum is currently broken (again) so I borrowed my parent's. I had it sitting in front of the door last night so I wouldn't forget to take it back to them this morning. I was sitting at the computer and I noticed that the vacuum was about the same height as was the kitty in the picture. Then it hit me. I guess I just had a vacuum cleaner in the right place at the right time. You see, kids? It pays to keep tidy.

I hope to do my part in making Risa Beach a better place! Thanks for the opportunity!

Schulmania 2009 Posting Awards Ceremony

Includes all posts in Volumes 1-3 made up to Dec 31, 2009 and/or Page 145 Volume 2. A few random news items and some statistical observations for you as well:

Random News Item #1: A deluxe litterbox is now being marketed, and it is being developed just a few miles from here. Read about it here: http://www.charlotteobserver.com/local/story/1158956.html and yes The Supreme Wirdle is interested in a custom gold plated one.

Random News Item #2: To answer everything you wanted to know about cats but were afraid to ask:

Observation 1: There are now 472 different posters in Schulmania (447 as of Sept 30 - an increase of 25). The majority of brand new to Schulmania posters seem to come from Volume 3 these days.

Observation 2: 174 posters have only posted once in Schulmania. A full third (actually, 36.9%) of all posters never come back. I wonder if they have simply gone into lurk mode or perhaps have chosen to not come back. On a similar note,...

Observation 3: A vast number of the 472 posters are inactive on Simtropolis. Occasionally, I wonder how many active members we have out of the 300+ thousand registered members. On my little spreadsheet, I have found well over half of my commenters are never around in the CJ forum or anywhere else on ST that I venture (only 1 of the first 25 and 6 of the first 50 names on my list I have seen post in the last few months anywhere on ST). Perhaps they have gone into lurk mode. But, when I look at the list below, I see a lot of names I never see around anymore.

Observation 4: The top 30 has seen little change in the past six months. But, there has been a good deal activity in positions 50-80.
