Well I already posted to similar topic but it appears that this topic came first (and the other one was closed by a moderator).  so I will post my pics here as well.

 

These pics all come from a city I created to be entirely R$.  130k R$ sims all working in ID and IM.  no schools, no police.  everyone is working so hard they are too tired to commit crimes!  you can see more pics like this in my city journal, Newtopia Valley :

its really not that bad of a city.  low pollution, no garbage, zoo, majory league staduim and lots of good jobs.  hope you like em.

My current city is a rust belt city. Here's a picture of one of it's ghettos.

This is an area by the docks, and is also the city's Redlight district.

All my old cities used to be ghettos and ive got some pics in the topic 'biggest slum?' All i wanted was high rises and i didn't care wat wealth lol

Here's a snapshot of my "warehouse district" where it was once a bustling industry town gone bust.  Urbanization occurrred then, city planners realized the "value" of the downtown shanties and forced the po-folks out.  Finally converting some old warhouses and closed school bldgs into lofts and studio apts,

All some of you are missing are the high walls next to the freeways to keep people from getting depressed as they drive by, I know some parts of large cities here in the US have such things as a cheap fix to the blight. Kinda sad really that they'd rather wall the ghettos off from view than run a beautification project on the area.

Where did you get that small cargo ship iDavid???? I've seen it in many CJ's and can't find it on STEX. Please tell me how to get it anyone!!

The small cargo ship is one of Peg's. It's something like 'Industrial Fast Freight'. I think it's part of the CDK (Coastal Development Kit) but could be wrong about that. I think it's here on the STEX, if not it's on the Pegesus Productions site.

ahh...when i saw this thread i couldn't help myself, i just HAD to make a decaying slum for my city. so here is my work so far   sorry if this is too many pictures...

curfews have been implemented throughout the city to curb violence; lights out at 2 A.M.

A city wide tree planting project is in the works, because a desease wiped out a huge amount of them recently
