I don't like how fundamentalist preachers push the idea that its either you believe 6-day Creationsim 6,000 years ago or you don't believe in God period. This is the biggest flaw in the church as they refuse to accept science. There is overwhelming evidence for an earth older than 6,000 years, even if there are flaws in the theory of evolution itself. The popular Creationist arguments for a 6,000 year old earth (i.e. dust on the moon, etc) have all been refuted by science. There was a time when the Catholic church actually executed people for insisting that the earth was round (that was heresy at that time). Plus, how do you develop every race or variation within species we have today in the 4,000 years since Noah's Ark? It is completely impossible. I believe in God and that He created the universe, but I am very open minded as to HOW he did it.

I am tired of having all my suburban streets lined with St. Ritzy and Dinner Theaters (very unrealistic maxis lots). It seems most restaraunts and big box offerings on STEX are only CS$$, with CS$$$ being towering hotels and CO$$$ being huge office towers. Can somebody direct me to some good low-density CS$$$ buildings? If not, how do I create a realistic suburb yet still satisfy CS$$$ demand?

Can somebody possibly do an upscale open air lifestyle center such as those popping up all accross the US replacing shopping malls? I'm not talking about a strip mall such as Simgoobers, but an upscale, urban walkable community with retailers such as Saks, Neiman Marcus, Emporio Armani, Williams-Sonoma, etc anchoring it. Maybe add a Whole Foods Market as well. I would love to have such a development in my city.

It comes with the big dig mod on SC4devotion.

Thanks a lot for the info. I downloaded the big dig utility and it works great. Here are pics of my downtown. How would you rate my downtown and how could it be improved?

Unfortunately his big dig tools have been locked for administrative purposes on STEX. Anybody know where else I can get them?

Because of poor planning early in my game, I have ended up with my main N/S freeway in my region running right through my downtown area. I don't want to move the freeway if I don't have to, so I was wondering if there was a way to move the freeway underground ala big dig. Is this possible?

As much as I love Houston, I have to say it probably is the worst planned city I've been to. The lack of zoning is a major culprit, plus the lack of mass transit. The Woodlands, a northern suburb, is very nice. I love how they managed to blend the development with the existing nature instead of making it a concrete jungle.

Can one ghetto city destroy high-tech demand for the whole region? I have a region of 3.7 million, and every city was flourishing until I built a ghetto city...now ive lost all my high-tech demand region-wide and my cities are full of people without jobs. Anybody know what to do without destroying my ghetto city?...because its realistic to have ghetto areas, every city has them.

Well, water/power isn't the problem. The query says abandoned due to low desirability. However, why is the desirability low? I have tons of trees and parks nearby. I also added some more commercial nearby.
